We just more time to get our guys....like another 6-7 years, maybe more.

Yep. All downhill from here. All the coaches and players are happy with this garbage. It's the expectation now. 4-7. Next year will be way worse. Trust me. We lost all of our best players on offense and defense, gonna be a mass rush to the portal to get off this sinking ship. Another year of no playoffs. Bookmark this post.
Believe me this post is bookmarked. Love to watch crow being eaten.

Am I mistaken, or did we lose more than the two players that have publicly left so far?

I'm just being a smart ass. I bet the Griz have one of the better retention rates in the country, despite the conspiracies casually tossed around. We return as much as we have in a long time and the coaches are currently winning at recruiting for both immediate and long term. No one is happy with last season. There's work being done. I just came on to read some posts and got swept up in the hyperbole and hatred of a few. Was just meant to be funny.
Good post. Had me fooled.

We gave up 900 rushing in two games.

And we gave up a total of 1,115 yards in the other 11 games we played.

Those 900 yards came against the top 2 rushing teams in the nation (or 2 of the top 4 if you go by yards per game).
Never mind such inconvenient facts. The issues exposed in the MSU and NDSU games have to be fixed and they will.

How? PR has intimated that there is nothing wrong with the defensive scheme, and that we purposely aren’t “gap sound (as noted by Mellott) ” by design in an attempt to create chaos and cause disruption. The good running teams exposed that design flaw horribly last year. How do you propose to fix it?

I'm not so sure that the 4 long NDSU runs were caused by not being gap sound. In the he first one, for example, the back was stopped in the middle and had nowhere to go. Then he went outside, and there wasn't an edge at that point and no d-backs on that side. Having our starting d-end might have helped. Kem and I don't have to fix this. That's what the coaches do.

What about the 15+ runs over 12 yards for MSU? Instead of focusing on the 4 breakdowns in the NDSU game, how about fixing what was blatantly obvious for 60 minutes on the 19th? That was SCHEME, not some singular breakdown. And you’d stated that it was intentional based on how the 3-3-5 is deployed by Hauck/Baer. So how, exactly, do they “fix” it if that’s the actual design?

I said immediately that the Griz played poorly, got pushed around, and couldn’t stop the run in that game. Made lots of mistakes on D. To me, it was more the mistakes than the scheme. The mistakes started on the first play. You are the one saying scheme. Why you tell us how to change the scheme?

I never played the game. I leave that to the experts. Just curious how that was going to magically change in 14 days had we had the misfortune to play them again.

The Griz would play a good game instead of a bad game. Would have first hand experience on not over-reacting, of going for fakes, and of not giving up the edge. The coaches would make adjustments. Maybe Johnson would be healthier. No magic necessary.

Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda don't mean much.

I was answering a question. My post was looking forward, and not backward. It was not woulda, coulda, shoulda. Your post means nothing and is a waste of space.

He has no clue how to fix anything. He just spews his predictable garbage for any criticism of the coaching. Reading his B.S., one would think our coaches would be coveted as head coaches for one of the six current NFL jobs

Aaaaaand another thread is ruined by childish bickering. Would anyone involved in this petty back and forth bullshit just STFU already?
This thread was about next year's Linebacker group. Why does anyone feel the need to throw in any comments about coaching, games played last season, or Bobby or anything else irrelevant?
Is this childish back and forth all we have to look forward to on Egriz for the next 8 months?

Feel free to make any post about Griz athletics that you wish. We're all eagerly awaiting your contribution.

Oh, as for the LB discussion....... my picks for younger players to emerge and get PT next fall are:

Vincent Genatone
Carson Rostad

And Mr Drama Queen himself answers.

Keep digging for Ore, Slim Pickens. Maybe you'll discover a secret tunnel to China

How? Seriously...specifically, how will they be fixed?
