What's the big Deal? It's a free world! I, like many others want the Griz to win as many games as it takes to get Stitt fired and Bobby Hauck back! It would be the only chance these players have at being a National champion! As hard as they work, they have no chance under Stitt. Under Bobby they could realize their dream. The dream that brought them to Montana, in the first place!!! Go Griz!!!

How many Bobby-coached players in 7 years realized their dream of being a National Champion?

go ahead and look it up...I'll wait. :| :|
The Hauck players had three chances in 7 years (including one in his second year); that's all they could ask for. How many chances have Stitt players had? Go ahead and look it up...I'll wait. :| :|

I googled how many chances Stitt's players had at a national championship after seven years, but it just led me back here. Help?

It's a trick question that will just loop until January 2022. Well done Kem.

CDA, I might recommend adding "spoiled fucking rotten fan base with consistently unreasonable expectations" to your search and give it another go. No assurances, but that may provide some more relative hits.

Thanks, EG and Jodcon. The results keep leading me back here, but I'm starting to get woke.

O'K! I will come out and say that in the past I have not been a fan of this coaching staff. I will further state that despite the recent success's I am still not a fan of this coaching staff. What have they really done? A little research will show that the combined record of the 4 teams we have beaten is 5-15! If my math is correct, (no guarantees), that happens to be actually a worse record than the first 4 teams the Grizzlies beat last year!

I am pleased with the actual in-game adjustments I've seen the last two weeks, particularly the virtual shutting down of the Guellar brother connection in yesterday's second half. Further, I do think that the team is improving, but the defensive numbers are still not good.

If you want to accuse myself and others on this board of suggesting the sky is falling, go ahead. But until this team actually plays and beats a few teams with winning records, ISU is a start, I will go on believing that Bob Stitt is not someone I would offer a contract extension to, particularly a three year extension!

Right on cue. Thanks for not disappointing.

I'll bite. I've been very critical of the staff (and probably will be). The Griz gutted out two road games in a row, which is awesome, but I feel that the defensive scheme is fundamentally flawed. It needs to be addressed if the Griz are going to become a conference power, let alone a national one.

I love the win, but Stitt and Co haven't exactly given much to be confident about. Just what I think. Flame away.

I agree 100% and share exact same thoughts. Either way I'll scream for the Griz every single game.

Ditto

another ditto

Conference road wins are a step in the right direction, but I am not sure how much the Griz have improved. I am not sure either effort wins the EWU game.

I should add that I'm going through this exact same thing as a coach, and therefore, I'm more than qualified to critique the Griz coaches.

This season for me: win big, lose big, win big, lose a close one, win, win. Here's the rundown:

1-The Sour Apples didn't stand a chance in the opener. Undisciplined play. Likely a lot of transfers.

2-The Purple Rock Stars were just that. Hand picked, and well-coached. Many fans were calling for my head afterward even though most of the Rock Stars were 5, and we were forced to play three 4-year-olds. Our kids gave a great, injury-free effort, and we simply moved on as a team.

3-The Cheetahs came in one player down with a tantrum, but it was still a rout win for us. Most fans thought it was just because the Cheetahs were depleted. Many still wanted me gone.

4-The Cherry Bombs looked great in warmups, but we jumped out to a 4-0 lead. They came back and took it 5-4 when we had two fucking own goals. Also, I had my best player go down with a bee-sting at the 13:24 minute mark. I was a gonner for sure. Let's just say the community was "organizing." Many said I adhered to the "no goalie policy" too strictly, as many squads got around the rule with a defensive specialist. But I stayed true to the spirit of the game.

5-The Pink Princesses came in looking tough on field #5. Trap game. We were the 8am game with four players who are "bad waker-uppers." We sneaked by in a shootout 12-9. Parents said our defense was atrocious.

6-The Blue Bombers. They were very disciplined in pre-game and snack time, but we knew we had them from the first kickoff when they took seven minutes to line up correctly. They had a few garbage goals in the first half, but we unleashed the beast in the second to win 8-4.

As a U6 girls' soccer coach, I know what the Griz staff is going through with all the naysaying, bally-hoo, and chirping from those who have never coached the game. It's like, hey, Linda, I don't give three shits about when Grace's violin lessons are, if your kid doesn't do the sprints on Wednesday, she sits on Saturday morning. I'll give a few tidbits here and there to the fans at the PTA meetings, but we stay close as a team in terms of scheming and long-term goals. Sorry not sorry. I'm trying to win a championship for the Purple Mermaids here, and I don't have time to listen to jokers from the stands.

You all know who you are, don’t make me sift through the game thread to round you all up! You have been wishing for the staff and team to fail, and you know it, I know it, everyone on here knows it. So just come forward and say, Go Griz!

You do realize there was a time beating Idaho State was pretty much assumed going into the season. I am a fan of the pro style offense, so its more of a personal preference than Stitt. If I were running the show i'd follow the North Dakota State methodology and bully some people up front.

Yup, that's just brilliant. Why won't Haslam hire you? You seem to have it all figured out.

You don't beat Alabama by trying to be Alabama. It's why Wisconsin owns the B1G West.

Copying North Dakota State won't work. They've already done it. You only win through two methods: by being bigger, stronger, faster, and even richer than your opponent, or you outsmart them. In the Big Sky, the first one should just work. But on a national scale, to get back to where we want to get, it'll take a little smarts. Montana is a kickass school, with kickass facilities, but we sure as hell aren't alone there.

If you think Stitt inherited the same situation as Hauck, you're in denial.

The Griz had lost 3 of their last four games (including one to MSU in Missoula) prior to BH taking over.
The Griz had won 3 of their last four games (including a blowout of MSU in Missoula) prior to Stitt taking over. So good point, indeed, Stitt did not inherit the same situation as Hauck.

Holy shit. Really?

You’re gonna argue the state of our program in 2014 was better than in 2002?

Like...you can’t be serious.

I mean, people have taken some huge leaps in logic to bash Stitt, but this might just be the worst I’ve ever seen.

Can you point out an argument or huge leaps that I made? I simply pulled up easily available facts to respond to a post in agreement. Check out the facts yourself if in disbelief.
