@ Liberty in 2015

We were looking at our future schedules and see where we have a contract for a return trip in the home-and-home for the Grizzlies to come to Lynchburg. The Big South unveiled its conference schedule for 2015 this morning so we have much of our Liberty schedule filled out. We know the date must be in September if you guys intend to not back out of the contract (yeah, we've heard the stories). But we also have a trip to West Virginia somewhere in September as well.

Does anyone have info on the actual date in 2015 for your trip to Virginia?

Recently the Griz have honored their home and home agreements with North Dakota, UC Davis, and App State. I don't see them backing out of that. It's MSU recently who has backed out of road games, just 1 that I'm aware of, but it was noteworthy since it was against NDSU.

The Big Sky didn't do the Griz any favors with that road schedule this year. Other interesting thing about this sched is moving the NDSU game. I wonder if the Bison wanted that or Montana and the Bison agreed. Anyway, like others said, the Griz "will play somebody" ALOT this season.

Here's a look at what 2015 has so far.

Sept. 5 vs North Dakota State
Sept. 12 Open
Sept. 19 Open
Sept. 26 vs NAU
Oct. 3 @ UCD
Oct. 10 vs Weber State
Oct. 17 Open
Oct. 24 vs North Dakota
Oct. 31 @ Portland State
Nov. 7 @ Idaho State
Nov. 15 vs Eastern Washington
Nov. 22 @ Montana State

We have Monmouth on 10/17/15 so that would leave your trip to Liberty either on 9/12/15 or 9/19/15. I would strongly encourage some of you guys to make the trip. You can fly into DC, Richmond, Raleigh-Durham or Greensboro for reasonable rates or for a few bucks more directly into Lynchburg. It is a 3.5-hour drive to DC or you could take Amtrak back & forth from DC.

I also live fairly close to McNeese. The scenery won't be much for that trip but it might be cheaper flying into Houston or New Orleans and grabbing a rental car for a couple of hours. The food will exceed your expectations.

Sly, we road trippin' to McNeese in '16? :D :D

I'd rarther be road-trippin' to a Sun Belt game somewhere in Texas or Louisiana to see my Flames. But I'm not hating the idea out of the box.

We'll be there. I love that pat of the country and can't wait to go. Should be a great trip.

Exercising the buy-out option of a jointly agreed contract is hardly "backing out of the contract." Grow up.

A bit touchy, kemajic. It wasn't an accusatory comment. It was an acknowledgement that a trip east may not have been intended when the initial contract was signed by Pflugrad's regime. We sincerely hope you guys get to make the trip east to Virginia so we return some of the hospitality we received in Missoula.

Wrong Montana team.... You're confusing the 2 Montana teams... and you call yourself a fan. ;)
