I get the humor but this is just a reminder that we are not Catholic. Carry on.

Do they believe in the virgin mary?

or the book of genesis as it's written?

Yeah, we believe Mary was a virgin when Jesus was born. But she wasn't afterward.

As for Genesis, there is obviously considerable public debate but our stance is that we believe the Bible is true from cover to cover. There is certainly room for some interpretation even amongst ourselves but it is all truth. We get that many disagree with our position. But that is where we stand.

What about dinosaurs??? Did they exist?

There is no question that dinosaurs existed. There are scriptural references to them in the Old Testament.

We don't have some sort of hatred of science as some would suggest. We just interpret the data from a different perspective.

According to this article they make an appearance:

But dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago, and I think christians believe the earth is like 5000 yrs old.

Some do. Some believe the earth is as old as you believe. It's up for debate. This is a great article explaining some of the views of creation.

It's not as fun to make ignorant statements poking fun at your school when you come in here and rationally point to good information. :thumb:

I'm still wondering when anyone's going to recognize that "like" is as in "similar;" almost as in "good as," if not like in "one and the same:" The Garden of the Lord like the land of Egypt." [Genesis 13:10] Especially when:.."Blessed be Egypt my people,.." [Isaiah 19:25] Along with that that it was the same Archangel Gabriel that spoke about some Annunciation, supposedly, that also spoke unto some one else out in some desert somewhere with..."recite, recite, recite." Interesting.
