LGriz Next up 3/9 BS Tourney vs. N Dakota

With 10 seconds, the LG got the ball inside to a wide open Sims. She dribbled it off her foot and LG forced to foul with 3.5. After the two FTs, the LG imbounded in the front court, but ND pushed Feller to within one step of half court, where she had to launch. She drew rim, but couldn't score.

Lady Griz played a great game. As was noted above, numerous missed layups that looked good, but just rimmed out. I thought Doran was the catalyst for Montana's final rally; very heady defensive player. Except for a third-quarter stretch where the Lady Griz went frustratingly flat, this was a whale of a game to watch.

The Lady Griz shot 35% from the field, 11% from 3-point range. Yikes. It's amazing they were within one or two makes of winning against North Dakota.

Robin Selvig is a great coach...but a large part of me wonders (in a good way), what he'd be able to do here with more than bubble gum, duct tape and a tin can for a recruiting budget.

The Ladies showed amazing heart today - to even be able to take the lead after being that far down (how many times have we seen a team that get within a couple points, but can't tie, or just ties the game and that's it?) is a testament to the whole team and staff. Even though it was a tough loss, it is ALWAYS a great day to be a Grizzly! Way to go LG and good luck next near!

Girls showed a TON of heart coming back from 16 down. Hats off to the ladies for being the stellar student athletes and young women of awesome character they are playing for a terrific staff and a clear legend. :thumb:

The second half was awesome. Feller almost hit a contested 40 footer at the buzzer to send it to OT. . Dammit.
