LadyGriz LG vs NAU

Love the hustle and grit of this team. Problem is, they lack talent—and next year lose their best player and Top 100 recruit.

I’d give Nate one more year. But he needs a great recruiting class. Actually, several. The talent deficit is obvious.
Where's their best player going?

Well, just about everyone last year thought that too going against the cats. You never know. Though I agree it does feel destined for the cats to demolish everyone in their path at the tournament and win a game in the dance. You don’t put up back to back 25+ win seasons by accident.
For sure they are very good. But they will have to beat the #1 seed to get that far. That is supposing they can beat a possibly depleted Lady Griz team ;)

Yeah Idaho has been so good this year. So if it ends up Idaho v MSU its going to be a tough game. But you hope the winner gets a high enough seed where they are playing a neutral game and not a home game for their opponent.

They played an amazing game, with much more intent and vigor! Ball movement was much improved; especially the post play, they looked vicious on defense. One player that stood out was Kennedy, who looked affectively pissed, she played that way and got results. Turnovers, are damaging, Konig's one hander lob pass in traffic late in the game...NAU brought it down..scored. Key for the next game against the Cat's...play pissed, hustle like no tomorrow!

Like Nate said they have to start better. I actually thought Lady Griz played pretty well last 3 quarters in Missoula. But Cats are too good to get down 15 in 1st quarter and have a chance.

As GrizCC1979 noted, Montana players may have been affected by a food-borne malady and not a virus. If so, I'm hoping they'll ALL be suited up today. Their full-game floor game was as solid as I've seen them play this season. I do think they'll have to shoot at a better % than the 35/25 % ratios they shot vs. NAU. Regardless, I'm pretty certain this team has the character to leave it all on the floor. Go GrizWBB.

Just so you know as I skim through egriz there are a few posters I always make sure and read what they post. You are one of those. Always informative, thoughtful and positive. Thanks

Maybe one way they can start faster is starting Ehrman instead of Donarski. Donarski doesn't score very much and doesn't really look to shoot often. Primarily used for defensive purposes.

I like Ehrman a lot and Donarski can be that glue/hustle player you need and Robin Selvig always seemed to have. I think Donarski would be used better as a defensive specialist and screener. Have Donarski set up on the high post, screen, and roll to the basket like a PF/C
