Lady Griz struggling offensively early, but leads 14-9 with 9:00 to play first half. Griz are only 6-19 shooting, but are playing great defense.

Griz lead at half 31-16 at half.

They are still not shooting it well (13-37 35.1%) but they have forced 11 ISU turnovers, many of which were steals for lay-ups. The zone is really good today.

Well, Rob cleared his bench some time ago, but it doesn't seem to be helping ISU at all. It's 71-37.

How big a blow-out is it? Misty Atkinson has 5.

I was driving and caught some of the pre-game, ISU only has 7 or 8 players total for this game? Good win for the ladies, gotta take care of bid-ness now until that PSU matchup.

how about this line from tam guardipee: six points and seven rebounds...

in six minutes!

that translates into a complete-game double double of 40 points and 47 rebounds! hah! now there's your player of the week...

only you could come up with such meaningless drivel..

Thanks for your positive comments, but I am afraid their loss the PSU will keep them from a good seed. Even if they win out, I would see them as a 13 seed and thus playing a very good team. It would have been nice if they could have been an 9-10 seed and in a much more winnable game.

LG RPI is 61 right now, what's funny is ESPN just re-did their braketology and put PSU in the tourney over the Ladies, even though they have a 1/2 game lead on them, PSU was/is a 15 seed. PSU RPI is over 100, I think it was near 120.

I'd see the ladies landing between an 11 - 13 seed if they can win out the regular season, and obviously take care of bid-ness in conf tourney.

Forget the ESPN guy as he ain't the brightest guy in the world. Jerry Palm of collegerpi.com has Lady Griz as a 13th seed. Way the collegerpi guy does it is, if two conference teams are tied in the loss column, then he uses the team with the highest RPI. He knows by the end of the conference, both teams will have the same number of games played in conference.

I have to agree with Palm, that the Lady Griz will be around 13th seed. lady Griz lost to many games they should have won. Losing to SDSU, Gonzaga, and Portland State cost them big time. These are the games that Lady Griz have to win to expect a good seed.

Big Sky Conference in womens basketball is at an all time low when ranked based on the RPI rankings of its' members. Around 26th. Last year Big Sky was ranked around 20th. The conference consists of two good teams and a bunch of bad teams.

26-2 SDSU that's ranked 22nd in the nation? Whose only two loses came to (10) Maryland by 8 and Oakland by 4. The LG almost beat the #22 team in the nation, they lost by 5 in a game most agreed they could have won.

Or 22-6 Gonzaga that's unranked but 1st in their conference and beat (16) Virgina.

The PSU loss hurts sure, but they're 19-7, a good record too.

I think the only "bad" loss in terms of RPI right now for the ladies is the PSU game.

I agree that PSU is the only "bad" loss. But.......

Those losses to Gonzaga and SDSU may have been close, but those are games that Lady Griz absolutely needed to win for a good seeding, and really should have. Plus, the committee doing the seeding aren't going to be looking at how close a team loses, but what teams they beat. Remember, RPI doesn't figure in scoring margin.

The best team Lady Griz beat is currently ranked 111. Lady Griz lost to a team ranked below 100.

The Lady Griz did not beat anybody ranked above 100. That is what hurts the Lady Griz more than just coming close to beating a team ranked above 100 or above 50.

The Lady Griz were seeded 12th last year. But, Last year the Lady Griz beat a team ranked above 100. This year they haven't. Coming close does not count nearly as much as actually beating them.

I still say 13th seed.

Actually Lady Griz were seeded 13th last year. So, really, It makes it harder for me to beleive Lady Griz to be seeded higher this year than last year, since Lady Griz didn't beat anybody ranked higher than 100 in RPI. Unless, this year, women's basketball is inferior to last year. But, UConn is so much better.

Well, no matter what happens, good luck to the Lady Griz, since the WSU's womens team sucks so bad this year, I'll be rooting for UM's to make some noise outside of the Conference.
