LadyGriz LG versus WSU

Watching on my phone while watching the Cats play. When I saw the jump ball with you guys 2pts down, I thought here we go and then heard it was for Weber. But what a comeback. Bad shooting doomed you at the end. Between Tyler and Mack that's 4 for 19.
 
The state of lady Griz basketball. It wasn’t that long ago that Weber State ladies basketball program was the laughing stock of the BSC. Not to take anything away from our ladies who played their hearts out. They almost made the comeback today but the operative word is “almost”. One has to wonder if the problem is coaching or talent level? Maybe it’s a little of both?
It will be interesting to see how Haslem handles the situation. Will he go out of state or try to get a candidate from within?
Stay tuned folks,its going to get interesting.
 
We play poor team defense allowing teams to shoot a good % against us. We have the talent, I just don't see them playing as a team. I really hope they can figure it out before the tourney. I think Alex Pirog gave us some great minutes today. She's a mobile big and rebounds well.

A little bit of both but mostly talent level. Good talent on the starting 5, but on the bench there is not a lot of talent in my opinion. 1 or 2 players on the bench have been good but that is not good enough. It kind of shows up in the box score. Starting 5 lately have been playing 25 or more points with 3 playing very close to 30 minutes or more. Part of the problem on the coaching side is not recruiting enough depth. I believe there was better depth on the bench last year than this year.

Lady Griz have not played adequate defense all 4 years of Holsinger and his coaching staff, so I have say that is coaching.
 
Too bad MJ was in foul trouble. Looks like she had a hot hand but limited minutes because of fouls. Zingaro went from 22 minutes on Thursday to 8 tonight.
