Will be playing against Hannah Robbins who spent one year with the Cats after transferring out of New Mexico. In that year her brother passed making it a very difficult year for her. She's been consistently in double figures for Weber this year.

Krista Redpath's podcast show interviewed Weber's Coach Jackson who mentioned Hannah's play, and how timing and team can allow a player to progress in positive ways- Robbins as example of a transfer that works. Anyone watching Picton at Sac State? She's a whole different player too, much more relaxed and yet much more precise- she and Verstag are quite the duo.

I disagree. Shes the same up and down player she was for MSU. I like Natalie but I think we're going to see her very frustrated a week from today.

Everyone's frustrated playing the Bobcats. I'm sure she will be too. Still think new environment has improved her game, so, I agree to disagree. Go Griz.

Lady Griz beat Weber State 51-50.

Avery Waddington had 20 points for UM, while Rae Ehrman chipped in with 12 off the bench.

I only caught the final minute of the game as I watched on my phone during halftime at the men's game.

This was a battle between two of the worst teams in the league record wise. Lady Griz had a decent lead in the 3rd quarter and looked like they were trying to lose it after that but held on.

Lady Griz may be lucky to even come close to ISU who beat the Bobcats really really bad in Pocatello 79 - 60. Bobcats just managed to get to 60 points and they have a pretty good offense. Lady Griz may be lucky to get to 50 points against ISU.

Sheesh, I switched to the Men's game when the ladies were up 10 as they seemed in control and Weber looked terrible. I should have figured it would play out like this.

Here's the stat sheet for the game: https://gogriz.com/sports/womens-basketball/stats/2025/weber-st-/boxscore/6347 With the exception of Avery and Ehrman, terrible shooting to include layups with the squad. LG look better on D. This might have been the game where players scoring opportunities might have surpassed and built upon the previous game...that didn't happen, they got the looks, they got the shots, no go. These teams were fairly evenly matched, both on the bottom and it shows, low scoring lots of turnovers, not good shooting. Avery holding this team together, (I'd like to see even more game face aggressiveness) taking more command on both sides of the court. Ehrman has a knack for showcasing some good scoring potential. She's a frosh and in some ways getting schooled up in D1 BB, bigger faster opponents, get in the paint you just might get stuffed. Land got called for a flagrant 1, elbow applied to defender attempting to tie up. Land dealt with two defenders aggressively (grab handling, more than the ball). I'm sorry but a defender off the side of a player, slapping, grabbing, pulling is not in my estimation in good position to tie up. Players have a right to rotate in position holding onto the ball! Off to the side, head level with elbows of a player rotating, holding onto that ball grabbing/ holding....chances are you're going to get a sharp one! Seems a lot of that these days, maniacal aggressive grabbing for a tie up, w/o fouls called, sloppy play. So, Weber plays the Cat's next, I hope Tricia is merciful!

The Lady Griz still look like they aren't on the same page. It's improving and they are playing with more defensive effort. Would have liked to see them block out better. I like how they are driving to the basket more from all positions. Now they need to start incorporating back door cuts into their offensive flow.

watching the game at Idaho State right now. This team is in chaos. Turnovers off of bad passes, getting out hustled for loose balls, nothing but wild three point shots, no defense or rebounding. Poorly coached. Robin Selvig must be horrified.
