LadyGriz LG/Harris Contract

Possibly and if so that would be a steal. We wouldn't count out schools like Arizona St, Utah and BYU. Big 12 will offer more $$$ than what BSU can.

BSU going Pac 12 certainly helps that possibility.

But if we recall isnt the Pac 12 just the MWC?
Boise plays an exciting 5 out motion offense, they had over 3K fans at last game. Constant movement, with dribble handoffs, fake handoffs, setting screens for pick and roll and pick and pop with there bigs.

GrizMN posted in a different thread a video of another school, I believe Minnesota Gophers, that use the 5 out offense doing just about every thing you describe here. Why they do not do it I do not know. Emma List who is in her second year as an assistant coach here, played for a school (Florida Gulf Coast) that used the same type of offense. I do believe it is because of her that Harris brought in the 5 out offense because of Emma's experience with it.
Anyway, I figure, maybe you and/or GrizMN should contact Harris. GrizMN can maybe send the video he posted on this board of the team using the 5 out offense to him.
Harris's email is: [email protected]

We are at the end of the season and I have notice one screen this year. There may have been others but those didn't happen on the side of the court I watch the game.

As a fan, not my job to email a D1 HC about his offense. About 90% of college teams run some variation of the 5 out motion offense. There are about 15 or more different layers/executions that can be incorporated into this offense. It takes time to learn and to be able to read and react what the defense is doing to fully execute the offense. Maybe the current players have no experience reading and reacting to the defense or running a motion offense.

I know. The coach would likely delete it upon receipt.

Odd one to watch at the beginning, Avery out at point ,lots of ball and player movement, good flow. All of the sudden Avery comes out, Konig comes in, less ball movement, much of the same old game, not much productivity. Konig goes out, Avery back in, team begins to play better, things forming again, but not at the rate when Avery left the first time. What gives?? I'm guessing maybe because Avery has a taped up shoulder, and Konig has amending leg, they do so much subbing, seemed disjointed at any rate. Same old stuff, all the sudden Land is on, others cold off scoring, 8% FG last Qrt... Sac has a lot of hustle, good shots.
And who knows. Maybe the season boils down to something entirely not BB related. I mean what if player X went out with player Y's ex or something. Though I doubt it.

I watched Cat/Griz in Missoula and I thought it was awesome after the game how all the LG players were smiling and signing autographs for the little girls there. I feel like I would've seen different emotion out of them had they given uo in the season.

I just finished reading the BSC preview on gogriz.com and it said Waddington is on pace to lead Montana in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. If she does, she'll be the first player in program history to lead her team in all five categories. That’s awesome. Plus we are the only D1 team to have 3 players to have 30 point games this season. The record doesn’t show and at times they look like they can’t hit the broadside of a barn, but we definitely have talent. We need to get behind the LG and cheer them on to finish strong.

The "who knows" factor is always at play, after all these are young human beings not without life stressors that press even the best coping. My take on the after game engagement with supporters is a good way for them to get some at-a-ladies, I know from personal experience. Sometimes though I wonder if it might get "old"?

Yes, Avery is an amazing player, and probably a good example of the stat's versus observed performance, some games, some errors...makes you wonder. Some of our players have some outstanding games, but if performance was line grafted, would look pretty wild! Give the LG all the support they need, and deserve, they are our UM Griz! When they are firing on all cylinders, can knock down any one of the teams in the conference!
