2018 State Class A GIRLS tournament seeding is set:

WEST

1. Butte Central
2. Browning
3. Columbia Falls
4. Hamilton

EAST

1. Havre
2. Hardin
3. Belgrade
4. Glendive

Columbia Falls is the defending champs from 2017, and runner-ups in 2016.

Butte Central finished 3rd in 2017, was undefeated state champs in 2016, and runner-ups in 2015.

Browning is tall and athletic.

Hamilton was having a great year but have been being beaten lately.

Best player from the West is BC''s Kloie Thatcher (point guard), unanimous MVP in the Western Div Tourney. 27 points in the chipper against Browning, 26 points in the semi-final...

Any thoughts on the East?

Go Hamilton! Just get in to the dance and see what happens... Maybe we'll have a boys/girls double state championship? (The Hamilton Boys have never won state)

Hamilton boys are tough, they've got a good team, finished 1 at Divisionals in Butte and have a 1 seed at State.

Hamilton girls had a great season, but faltered at Districts in Hamilton (finished 4th) and also at Divisionals in Butte (finished 4th as well). They are better than that. They might do at state what Butte Central girls did at Divisionals:

BC finished 3rd at Districts in Hamilton.

So BC was a 3 seed playing 2 Columbia Falls (defending state champs) in the first game at Divisionals. BC won. Then beat 1 Frenchtown. 'Then beat 1 Browning for the Divisional Championship.
