At the beginning of the game Stitt said he thought they'd need to run 90 plays to beat NDSU. On play #91 we were stopped on the 1 inch line.....on play #92 we won the game....I think we found someone very special here!

It a new era! Isn't it refreshing to have a coach that's dictating the game rather than picking his nose on TV and making amateur mistakes?

I love the coaches we've had, Delaney was pure class and really stabilized the program in a tough time. And now we have a gem in Stitt. This is a great time for Grizz football. He's going to bring a lot of visibility to the program, and I think that has to help with recruiting.

Particularly impressed by two things: Stitt said early we will stay in games early and win'em late. Also going against form to kick the FG with 2:43 on the clock which tells me he had a hell of a lot of faith in the D holding and getting the ball back for the offense to win it. The guy makes me realize how vanilla the Griz offense has been since Read retired. Hey Haslam, great hire!

You nailed it.

Was thinking the same thing. What a fun system to learn and to play in. It's something that might lure some very good recruits away from more vanilla offense oriented teams (hopefully).

Interesting seeing some of the tweets from college football insiders on ESPN about the game and Stitt.

From Brett McMurphy at ESPN:

"Big 12 has extended invitations to Montana & North Dakota State - for this season"

"If #StittHappens stays put, watch out: Montana visits Washington in 2017 & 2021 & Oregon in 2019"

West Virginia's head coach tweeted: "#StittHappens"

Highlight video on the front of ESPN's page. What a game to kick off the college football season! Even people who aren't fans of either team had to be pretty entertained by that epic game.

Having perused the ESPN website right now the Griz own it - however I wish they didn't find it necessary to also dredge up a lot of our archival basketball clips that are better forgotten. :)
