Pay is usually commensurate with responsibility & skillset. If we all pitch in a little, we could achieve a great deal! Attract the talent needed to lead the Nation's top FCS program and right this ship!

$100k would help offset the costs of 3 year contract containing a MUCH NEEDED, marked increase in compensation for the number 1 man, the new leader of the greatest FCS program in the country (and the winningest football program in ALL of college football durring the 2000s)!

Just makes logical sense.

:? I may be wrong, but wouldn't this be against NCAA regulations for fans (boosters) to be raising money to pay a coach? I guess I'm hesitant whenever it comes to this stuff, especially after the issues with boosters a few years ago. I'd rather see a coach get a percentage of gate revenue on top of his base salary.

God you Griz fans are stupid....

(and the winningest football program in ALL of college football durring the 2000s)!

ummmmm - it is 2014......

besides -SMU was 49-9-1 from 80-84 and they to had the highest win percentage in Division 1-A... programs who cheat will indeed have a high win percentage...

Montana's head coach can realistically make well over $200,000 based on the current pay schedule - according to what I've been told, maybe even as much as $250,000 when you consider community partnerships as well. Think the HC here would do just fine.

I don't think so.. A couple of boosters down in Alabama paid off Sabans 3.1 million dollar home a couple of weeks ago..

Not close to enough. Every top talent consideration is taken off the table due to pay contraints - they would love the job but could not justify a 50% or more pay cut just to take the job.

And yet you couldn't even spell a three letter word correctly. Brilliant.
What the hell are you blabbering about?? Which of my 3 letter words seemed to be incorrect to you?

Let me spell it out for you. R-A-T. You've been nothing but a jerk since you've been on here. I've never understood trolling.

The flaw in you plan is the money from a one time funding source can not be included in a coaches yearly salary under a multi-year contract.

It's a subsidy, not a bankroll. A 3 yr contract; 100k / 3 = 33.3k bump per year. 1 contract at a time, then figure it out in 3 - just like every contract and every budget is put together; you can't predict eternity.

Next question!
