Lets make a wager

My gawd, that's four years from now. If Foo-Foo (that's what my spouse calls him) hasn't won an NC by then, then Alpha will have died of depression and the rest of us will be going merrily on our way. I think he may have won a playoff game or two by then, but I seriously doubt he will have won an NC.

Besides, as someone stated above - We're all screwed in 2012 anyways. The Mayans said so, after they chopped off some poor schmucks block to convince the sun to give them a good harvest :thumb:
 
I would say he gets seven years to get one...the old coach couldn't get one in that time and some tards want him back. 2013 is when we will be rolling, I'd say by 2015 for sure.
 
I will up the ante hear and say that the Cats will make the National Championship game before Phlu does, and if they don't, I will never post on hear again. If they do, you have SHUT DOWN EGRIZ FOREVER.
 
I'm not taking the bet because I think its silly, but my prediction is that we win one by then. We've played in the NC every other year it seems like. I think that once we get a dominating OL, a decent QB, and Phlugrad's staff gets everything figured out and settled in we will be much improved from this year and will be dominating the sky again. Might take 2 or 3 years though... I think next year will be more rebuilding with uncertainty at QB, RB, and OL.

IMO, to bet that Pflu won't win a NC by 2014 is betting against the Griz. No one who is a Griz fan, but not a Pflu fan, will bet against the Griz winning a NC by 2014. That's why you won't see people betting against the Griz winning a NC by 2014. I won't bet because the offer is misleading. IOW, to bet for Pflu is betting for the Griz. To bet against Pflu is betting against the Griz & no one wants to do that, no matter how much they dislike Pflu.

Someone in this thread suggested betting whether Pflu would be here by 2014 & that's the more realistic bet, IMO. You can root for the program, but not the coach. Witness BH. From what's been said on this board re: Pflu, & from what I've seen of the way this team plays compared to earlier years, Pflu is poisoning this program, IMO, & very many on this board have been fearful of the same thing, in so many words.

I would say if Pflu's record is no better by the end of next year, he ought to be gone. BH had the Griz in the NC by the end of his second year. Maybe that ought to be the bet.

The anti Pflu side spearheaded by assrack and D2 (its like WWE) are dumb enough to want to fire a coach in his first year with a winning record. How either of you EVER figured out how to turn a computer on is beyond me.

(I know both of you will think "turning a computer on" means telling the computer that her keyboard looks lovely tonight while basking in the backlight of the LCD screen......but that is not what I meant)

Seriously? Really? I wasn't bald before I began reading your post but after pulling all my hair out I am. Its not a bet against the Griz its a bet against the ability of a coaching staff. If you don't believe that this coaching staff can make it to the game and win it within a recruiting cycle than you should take the bet if not than you know you are full of shit and probably just not post all together.
 
I'm in - Pflu will get one before 2014! Hell - D2 could even get his wish - Pflu gone before 2014 - after winning a title of course! :thumb:

I did NOT say Pflu should be fired after his first year. READ FOR GOD'S SAKE! I believe a fairer standard for Pflu is whether he makes it to the NC by the end of his SECOND year. You Pflu lovers talk about NCs in 4 years. "Give Pflu a third or 4th year," etc., etc. All I'm saying is it's a fair standard for Pflu to even REACH the NC by the end of his SECOND year. Comprehendo?

And don't preach to me, Alfalfa, et al. re: "you cannot root 'for the Griz but not the coach.'" Crissalmighty, that's exactly what you did all last year re: BH. Your hypocrisy is showing. :oops: :roll:
