Lest we forget. Carroll is at it - again

Play Azusa Pacific Saturday in Helena after dismembering Valley State (ND) 47-0 in playoff opener.
Dane Broadhead 14 or 17 for 237 yards. A great diversion for Griz fans getting antsy waiting for Dec 3.

I believe their win this past Saturday gave them the record for most playoff wins of any NAIA school. Congrats Carroll.

(especially nice for Helena folk. The team has an astounding number of locals that didn't make it "big"...goes to show the talent in Helena).

Go to Rocky? :thumb:

Probably Tech

I bet he rode the bench all through jr high and HS so he decided to put his talents to use on the computer. At least here he can act like a stud and talk all big when really he is everything but... at least that's what his gf said last night

I am a Carroll grad and think the success they have had has only made the entire state of Montana show that we know how to play football. We dominate at every level of football that we play... and we don't even have a million people!!!!

I will be at the game Saturday rooting for my CC Saints! I think we should be excited that all football in Montana is currently getting the national recognition it gets.

I agree, but most Griz fans are clueless. Carroll would whip UNC and ISU in my opinion.

I'm a Carroll student and I respect Diest and think he is a great person, but Carroll's scheme is not nearly creative enough to work at the FCS level. Way too much iso and straight dive run plays. Carroll's biggest advantage is their line is bigger than most NAIA schools so they can pound the ball, but Lobato would be the best QB in the Frontier and no defensive back in the conference could cover Rumble. There is just a lack of size and athleticism at the NAIA level. ISU and UNC would beat Carroll handily I think. Diest would want to bring Ass. Coach Hogan with him, and he is garbage compared to the coordinators we have now. Not to mention Diest has about the cushiest job possible now, he is adored by every Carroll fan and will have his job for the rest of his life if he wants.

Abe, very well said!!! I cover the Frontier for a living and the difference between UNC's and Idaho State's players is still a very wide margin. I respect everything CC has acheived and think MVD is a truly great coach but when people claim the Saints could beat the Griz or the Cats or any other Big Sky team it just drives me insane and I've spoken with plenty of past CC greats who will tell you the same thing! Doesn't mean they wouldn't want to step up and play teams from the Big Sky, but they get the difference in talent, size and speed. And while this year's CC team is very very good, I think people that haven't seen them are comparing them to some of the national title teams of the past and that's not a good comparison. I believe this Saints team has a great shot to win it all again, but this is not the same CC team that some fans have gotten used to seeing. Still, with Souix Falls gone, they should win it again.

Carroll's football game can be watched on line. They may show it on the CW too.

Didn't NAIA Lindenwood beat UNC?
