Any News? :-? If both McKay and Lynch are without scholarships next year then one scholarship is still available.

Don't expect anything big out of Australia, I guess Larry was a little underwhelmed with the talent he saw down there. Also, technically there is not a schollie open right, since McKay has not decided what he is going to do next year. So, for now, McKay is still with the team. I also hear that if a schollie opens up, look for the Griz to fill it with player from the same school from which we got the new PG. The coaches say they are more than satisfied with talent that we already have. Expect at least a couple of the incoming freshmen to be major contributors next season.

From what I here whether McKay kept or lost his scholarship was not McKay's choice. There is a very nice 6-8 player from SLCC who would be able to contribute right away for the Griz. He even has connections to the State of Montana.

BTW It does take a while to get/or to confirm a foreign players D-1 elligiblity. Signing a Foreign player who is playing in the U.S.A. already (JC or Highschool) is one thing but one who is still in their native land takes awhile. Have patience grasshopper,

Mslacat-the 6'8" players on the SLCC roster that I know of are spoken for (KY and Hawaii). Maybe the roster on their internet site is incomplete. Can you elaborate?

I think he's speaking of former Bobcat and Bozeman High star PJ Owsley.

Yep, PJ was on the internet roster, this fall, but was injured in November and they/he decided to reshirt. I guess there current roster was edited down to active players only. Technically PJ was a qualifier out of high school, and only went to SLCC to get away from home for a year or so (being a Bozeman native) If he wanted there is no reason (unless he really tanked it in the class room this year) he could not sign with a D-1 team this spring or next year. If he signs this spring he will have three years of D-1 elligiblity remaining. If he signs next 2 years. Weber was after him also.

I was under the same impression regarding Mckay, but my info comes directly from one of the coaches here.I believe they are waiting for Chris to quit on his own, rather than revoking his schollie outright
