LATE 2017 SIGNEE: WR Malik Flowers- Fontana, CA

WOW, what a terrific athlete!!!! As a true Freshman, he very well skip redshirting. He is damn athletic, talented, and FAST!!!!!

If you want to be sold on speed, all you need to watch is his run 1 minute in of his 1st and main highlight video. WOW, that is all I needed to see to know his speed is amazing. :thumb:

Wondering the same thing. In looking at his hudl profile, there's very little/no tape of his senior season....only what looks like "scrimmage" video...

He played in a Cali all star game this past January, so I'm guessing so:

Found some senior year stats. I bet he got hurt. Looks like he only played 5 games. However he averaged 165 all purpose yards per game and totaled 822 total yards in those 5 games:

He also scored 8 TDs in those 5 games....5 rushing, 2 receiving, and 1 kick off return.

With some physical maturing, this kid looks like the kind of RB we've been needing, but Stitt's priority is for more receivers for his bubble screens. Get the ball in his hands. We have QBs who can hand off; passing to a receiver remains a lesser probability.

Yes wouldn't that be great, however he is too big to play RB here.

Well maybe a big RB is just what we need given our recent demonstrated O-line weakness and seriously underperformiing play.

Hmmm....based on that link, it looks like he also missed his sophomore year.... :?: :?: :?:

I'm guessing you wouldn't be critical of what posters think of this kid if he was that blue-collar, hard-working, farm-type, up every day at 4 a.m. before school to work the ranch, never-give-up kid from Scobey or Glasgow though? Then, the hype machine is ALWAYS justified. As long as, and only if, it's a kid from Montana.

Who Gives a damn if he missed games with injuries? Look at the film, the speed and what he did when he played. Several schools missed on Saracini when he missed his senior season with injury and had no stats. He would have killed it in the BSC but instead took Tech to the playoffs. Kudus to the staff for looking closer at this kid.

On an injured kid

Ummmmm where in my post did I have any issues with it. People asked whether or not he played his senior year. I went out and found stats to show he did.....good stats at that. And I then shared that here. Maybe lay off the juice BG.

UM and MSU missed on Saracini because he would have had to gray shirt with his HS output. They both wanted him. I don't know anyone that saw him in FB and track at Senior that was surprised what he did at Tech.

I remember watching the shrine game that year and wondering how Brekke was rated higher than Saracini by many.

Nope i'd say the same thing, I don't get into the recruiting bullshit. I like to evaluate prospects after their freshman year, i.e. how they have looked in practice or if they made it on the field as a true freshman how they performed. See below, Not ranked.
