That's exciting. Have always wished the Griz would do it this way. Two controlled scrimmages is enough. Let them play an actual game. Great job by Stitt for finally bringing the Griz out of the stone age as far as spring games are concerned.

The rosters are interesting as the No. 1 D is the white team, and looking at it, it looks like Jesse Sims has made a big jump this spring and will be a backup D-end who plays alot. Also appears Jimmy Banks has a starting LB spot locked down, and Sandry, who many of his teammates were saying to watch out for, will be a starter or at least very close to it with the arrival of Justin Strong.

Offensively, looks like the starting WR picture is pretty clear coming out of spring with Curran, Eaton, Lyons and Horner, and Nyguen still at the No. 1 spot at RB.

I had mentioned it in Brint's trend, but I think this is a great idea. I had always wished the Spring Game would be an actual "game" and this should do it. Ive heard this time is more united as a unit compared to years past when TG would separate the defense from the offense. A format such as this should only enhance this and make for an entertaining time.

Not that is really matters, but I will be interested to see how the coaches call the game. Im guessing Stitt will be calling the plays for both offense's, wonder if he and Semore will take turns switching sidelines on each possession.

Appears to be quite a few players sitting this one out too

I count three; RB Brody Martinez and two young DB's Sean Kautz and Hunter McKenzie (although the first team only list three DB's so maybe they are getting into that mix). Weyer, Strahm and Counts are not taking part in contact in the Spring. No QB's listed but Prater, Chalich, Phillips, Gustafson and Kaegi are all still on the roster.

This looks like a great format and I so wish I could get to it. Worst thing is I am missing football for the "sport" of soccer. (and yes I feel shame)

True, don't know how I missed that one.

I think Nelson not being on the list is just an oversight.

I'm betting like the first two scrimmages we only see Gus, Chalich, and Phillips

Any idea how they are going to approach the QBs? They aren't listed on the rosters so maybe they just bounce around from team to team?

It's possible that their hands are too small and they're on their way out the door.

They will approach the QBs like Titleist approaches a woman. Full speed wrap up, but no takedowns.
