Last night was the first time I had ever been to an away Griz game, be it basketball or any other sport. All I have to say is that we have a GREAT fan base. At least half of the fans at the game were Griz fans.
It was great to see the Griz for the first time this year. The game seemed to be in favor of the Griz, but everytime I looked at the scoreboard it was alot closer. Riverside was able to drain 3's on us like none other. They had a very fast transition and no big men. They hardly ever went into the paint and our big guys were sometimes too slow to get out to the three point line. But, a win is a win.
Also, I must say the Strait was unstopable. Granted they didnt have very many big guy, but Strait was ridiculous. This is the first Griz team I have seen in about 4 years that doesnt have one person hogging the ball and always taking shots. If they keep up this great ball work, I can see them playing great ball all year long.
