Lane Kiffin

How has he lost a lot of credibility? It's not like other coaches don't switch all of the time (Rich Rod, Brian Kelly, etc.)

Maybe he's a punk, but who cares? He at USC is going to be amazing for NCAA violations. It's going to be like the late-80s Miami squads out there.

Because he was in his last two coaching jobs for only a year each and then abruptly bailed! Don't you think potential recruits are paying attention to that? The other coaches you mentioned were at their former schools for several years and proved themselves before they moved on! With that said, he is putting together one hell of a coaching/recruiting staff so maybe it'll work out for him! I hope not because he's a punk that has never really done anything as a head coach and I don't like SC! ;) Go Dawgs!! Go Griz!!

You have to admit. He is doing a pretty good job of falling up the food chain. Win 40% of your games each year and move on to a more high profile one. Doing well for never even sniffing a winning record as head coach.

Tell most of you wouldn't do the same thing. Let's say you were a longtime asst coach at Montana, took the HC job at any of the other BSC schools and all of a sudden the Montana job opens up, they want you to take over. You are going to say no? Bullshit, and you know it.

Keep in mind that this exact situation is not only anticipated, but is actually written into the contract. That is why they have the buyout clause. They know that neither side will likely live up to the full terms of the contract. I don't feel sorry for either side.

If I have any sympathy in these situations, it is with the kids who are already on the Tennessee team that signed last year. They would have to sit out a year to transfer unless they transferred down.

Oh well. Tennessee will have to deal with the NCAA on Kiffin's actions last year. Over-under on USC being reported for violations by this staff - April 25, 2010.
