Freshman Sophia Stiles scores 26 and lady Griz come from behind for road win. They were down 18-6 right away.

Bright until we get to the postseason, where the quicker teams will tear us apart.

It was 2004, where the late, great Julie Deming shouldered most of the load and battled foul trouble throughout the game. I remember watching the game on ESPN2 and really thought they were going to unseat an always tough Louisiana Tech team but it wasn't to be.Jaredkuehn said:I will say, one of the most memorable games I've ever seen was when the Lady Griz hosted LA Tech in the first round of the tournament in like '04 or '05. They were pretty competitive that year. Maybe we should be putting more bids in to host first round tournament games :thumb:
I was in the pep band for that game, which was among the most electric atmospheres for any Griz athletic game I've ever attended (football and men's basketball attended).MissoulaCanucksFan said:It was 2004, where the late, great Julie Deming shouldered most of the load and battled foul trouble throughout the game. I also remember LA Tech coach Kurt Budke saying during the postgame presser the next time he would come back to Montana was to just do some fishing, not bring any team he was coaching to Dahlberg Arena.
