To make things short, Mandy Morales showed up for the introductions and then left somewhere sight unseen until sometime late in the second half.

If it weren't for the shooting of Lauren Beck and Tamara Guardipee, and the hustling of Laura Cote, I would have thought this scrimmage a wast of time to watch.

Maroons beat the Silver 57 - 46. Mostly because of the three players mentioned in the second paragraph. Beck and Guardipee both scored 14 points each and Cote scored 13 points. That is 41 points of 57 points total.

Dana Conway scored 10 points, and was the only player in double figures for the Silver team. Sonja Rogers was close scoring 9 points.

This scrimmage didn't impress me nearly as much as the men's scrimmage.
 
I felt the same way about this scrimmage not being as exciting to watch, but I think that is more of a testament to how good the guys could be this season.

As for Morales, I saw her sitting there on the bench right before the introductions, and she just looked sick to me, like she wasn't even comfortable being there. Reminded me how I feel whith the flu like stuff and all that that entails.

I agree about Cote, I think she is a hustler and an intense player.
 
Beck can fill the bucket up fast!!!! Her and Morales will be quite a scoring combo. I think Claussen will be solid too. Her shots just were not falling tonight. As for Guardipee (sp?), the 1st thing I noticed was how in shape she is!!!!! My God that girl has busted her ass. Much more slender and actually ran the floor the well. I am very impressed by her. Last year she was a blockshotting nightmare. This year, being in shape........ LOOKOUT BIGSKY!!!
As for Morales, she was limping. I was a few rows behind her. She was acting as if she had a lower back problem. I pray she is okay. God knows we need her overall game.

According to the Missoulian, Morales had back spasms. Back problems can be a real nemesis. It was for Katie Edwards.
 
but back spasms would be more of the muscular variety than say, a herniated disk, which is a completely different ailment altogether I would think. I've found that taking a regular intake of protein tablets (as many different amino as possible & high quality) over the years has alleviated most of the muscle cramps & spasms that I used to have.
