Lady Griz vs Cats

The seat should not just be hot - it should damn well be on fire. Would losing 7 of the last 9 to the Cats be acceptable for any other U of M athletic program. No, no it would not and don’t give me excuses about injuries. Selvig stayed too long and the AD thought SS would be the answer since she was a great player and had been an assistant for so long. She is not getting it done and she now has a very uphill battle - even if they finish the year strong. Henderson is going to be a big loss and Johnson probably even a larger one. The program is not able to out recruit the Big Sky with home grown talent anymore and you need a coach with charisma and strong recruiting abilities. I am not seeing it and it ain’t going to happen. Time to pull the plug and get someone at the helm that can turn things around.

Selvig won BSC 2 of his last 4 years so I'm not sure he was here too long. I would also say most or maybe all of the Montana kids on the team are BSC caliber players. I would normally wait for City to chip in here, but the Griz need a couple ladies from Tacoma or Oakland to get them to a better level. But I'm not sure there is a recruiting budget to scout those areas, Lady Griz mostly rely on Legacy for recruiting.

Edit: for the record I think Schweyen is a decent coach. With time she could be a great coach. Robin was just an incredible coach, who got the most out of his players but either didn't ask or didn't get the resources to move the program to the next level. Getting rid of Schweyen most likely won't mean a BSC in the next 3 years either short of an incredible player falling into their lap.

Agreed with both your paragraphs. That's why I'm a proponent of keeping her for another year or two...if the ladies keep consistently improving this year and win a couple bsc tourney games.

Another interesting statistic:

The Cats have only swept the lady Griz twice in the history of the rivalry. Both times have come under the current coach

Only on some dingbat fan site would you find this many blindered, tunnel vision, entitled fools blaming a coach like Schweyen for the current losses … by which they mean the loss of their vicarious thrills … after all, it’s all they’ve got. Outside of this asylum, the support for Schweyen is much greater that it is here because people recognize -- simply -- that if you lose as many top players as she has, lately, that it’s actually been a wonder how well she’s done. Then you’ve got the whacked out fever dream about how the staff is using some unknown methodology esoterically designed to cause as many injuries as possible!!! Like they’ve ALL been living in an alternate coaching universe blithely unaware of the standards of fitness and training involved, and never once awakening to that fancifully stupid possibility. Sickening.

I assume that most of these posters are aware of what the AD’s views on the subject, dating back to last year, are. You obviously don’t

What is funny is that someone like you, with zero knowledge, makes posts like what you just made.

You are truly an idiot.

What is funny is that a windbag like you, with zero reading comprehension, makes a post like this sclerotic blurt. Did I say anything about the AD, dimwit? I said, and I reiterate, that among people whose tiny lives and minds are not utterly invested in the pathetic, vicarious thrills that brain dying old pissants like you live for, the support for Schweyen is much greater — and much more rational in its assessment of her abilities — than blindered, maundering jackasses like yours is. Have you been waiting a long time to get the petty resentment out of your sick, old mind accrued over the previous embarrassments I caused you? Try harder next time.

Haha ... talk about a case history of a poor, transparent moron attempting to unload his petty resentments.

I can't believe someone actually said that about recruiting out of state talent. The men Griz do, in fact we only have 2 Montana players on the roster. The Lady Griz have to do the same in my view. Or we need to get used to finishing in the middle to bottom of the pack.

Your post was stupid, because you didn't realize that there is sentiment at the athletic department and in Griz Nation that the coach hasn't been getting the job done, regardless of the injuries. While people know there have been injuries, many people are not happy with the overall results, including current losses, nor with the recruiting.

Where are you getting this support for the coach stuff? Just making it up, I assume. Except for a friend of hers, I don't know anyone who is "supporting" the coach at this point. I have no view, one way or another, but I am not "supporting" her.

You are the windbag, not me. I know what I'm talking about. You don't. Like I said, you are an idiot, and a troll.

Of the players who are playing or played this year, the roster has only 5 MT kids. At least 7 from outside of MT. Feel free to double check my skim.

If Kraft had taken the girl out to a nice dinner, and then got a hug, etc., would that have been okay? Is the world a safer or better place, as a result of this sting? Alabama, Idaho, Brint, anyone got the stats on how many happy endings occur daily in the U.S.?

As I said, senile one, i'm not talking about the department one way or another. Try to grasp that ... and the fact that your use of quotes is as idiotic and unnecessary as the rest of your ass covering squawk. And, speaking of making stuff up ... coming from the fake name dropping old moron who always happens to have several, convenient, imaginary friends to, uh, ewe know ... like "support" him, that is a real joke. Hike up your "supporter" if there's anything left to "support" and hit the easy chair, gramps.

Jeeeeeezus! Is this oblivious creep for real? Yeeeeah ... it will be a safer place ... especially considering the circumstances that these very young girls found themselves in. Those small strokes are adding up ... or were you always an apologist for freaks like this guy, and his buddy, Trump, and the other abusers in their sick circle?
