Lady Griz v psu Title Game

My thoughts exactly, EverettGriz. For the next few years in women's Big Sky BB, my money is on Robin and his girls from Montana!

So, seed? Probably 16, hopefully a 15?

Not expecting much. I think the highlight of the season is winning 3 games in 3 days and beating the #1 seed Portland in their own house. There is a lot of character on that team and yes, Selvig can coach.

I'll be surprised if the Lady Griz get anything higher than a 16 seed after finishing the regular season in 4th place in the Big Sky. But I'm not against pleasant surprises - come on 15 seed! :thumb:

It would be cool to have some of her best friends from Montana playing against Jos Tinkle and her crew!

I am thinking 16 seed this year to be the most likely seed with their record, RPI, and the fact they were fourth place in a conference that is ranked somewhere in the mid-20s. Lady griz were ranked 170 in RPI according to NCAASPORTS.COM.

But, I do believe Lady Griz had the strongest schedule of any other Big sky Team, and that may help them get a 15 seed. If you take collegerpi.com, Lady griz had an RPI ranking of 143, and Strength of schedule was the best in the big sky.

Maybe a 15th, but I predict 16th seed. 16th seed may get them Stanford.

Yeah, I think it's likely going to be Stanford. Although, Montana is certainly well known by the Committee, and that won't hurt their chances. As stated above, I don't think we can expect much out of this group next week, but frankly, that's fine. I'm just proud as hell of the way they battled this week. Their defense was locked in, and they were playing with a great deal of heart. In other words, it was classic Lady Griz basketball! :thumb:

Just got home from the game, what a fun one to watch. I was really impressed with their composure when the Vikings went up by 6 in the second half. I sat right behind the bench and enjoyed watching Robin coach, as always. There was a solid Montana crowd that really got into the game in the last 5 minutes. It takes a tough team to go on the road and win three games in three days, but they gutted it out. Congrats ladies!

Thanks for going, Jared! And like you, I loved the heart after going down six. I texted a few buddies, "Oh oh" at that point, figuring it might get away from them. But there was absolutely no panic. The Griz just seemed to have that look about them all afternoon that they were extremely confident and it appeared as though they just knew they were going to win.

MAJOR kudos to ALL of the LG and the coaching staff--bagging 3 wins in 3 days and beating the hosts on their home turf!! The Ladies are the definition of grit, guts, and character. To be going to the Big Dance after the start they had to the season is absolutely remarkable. A number of them stepped up huge (to say the least), but IMO none bigger than Sarah Ena. As a senior to go scoreless for 32+ minutes and then drop 10 in crunch time (two buckets with defenders draped all over her, and absolute money on clutch free throws) was sensational. She wasn't to be denied---a WOMAN on a court of girls!!!

Bring on da Cardinal!!!!

Well, Charlie Creme at ESPN has Lady Griz as a 16 seed playing Stanford. Should be able to see Jos Tinkle play a lot in that game.

It makes sense for Creme to switch us and UC Davis for a tourney that loses money. Send UC Davis to Stanford (drive) and UM to Spokane as a 15 seed to play UCLA. Wouldn't suprise me.
