Lady Griz shoot bricks

Lady Griz this season is shooting worse than any Lady Griz team since 1979 or so.

Today, the Lady Griz may have shot worse at home than in any game in history.

First half the girls made 29% of their field goals.

Second half was even worse. Hard for me to imagine how the team can be any worse than the first half shooting 29%. But the second half they shot 27%. Overall shooting percentage was 28%.

Mandy Morales lead Montana with 16 points. But, at times, she looked like a freshman out there. She played bad enough starting out the second half that Robin sent Sonya Rogers out there 3 minutes into the second half. When Robin substitutes a player out before 5 minutes, it means there is something he doesn't like. Mandy did have the turnoveritis starting out the second, and that would likely be the reason. After that it was Conway and Mandy rotating out for about 10 minutes, turnovers stopped coming.

Mandy finally came in to replace Sonya around 7 minute mark and Lady Griz down around 11 points. This is when Mandy started a 12 - 0 run that finally gave the Lady Griz a 1 point lead. Fans thought things were finally right and the Lady Griz would go on to win.

But, no, bad shooting returned and Lady Griz lost the game.

Final score: Weber State 50, Lady Griz 49

Not a good day for Griz and Lady Griz basketball today with both losing.
 
I respectfully disagree and here is why. well they launched 22 3's and made 4 of them, that is 18% last time I checked. We are 34% on 2 point shots. perhaps if we would have taken a little more time to get better shots we might have knocked down a couple. We only lost by 1 point so........

Ok, but can you imagine if we played this way against a really good team? Come on... losing or winning by 1 point is a pointLESS statistic when your team's shooting 28% at this point in the season!

Hey, I know it doesn't sound like it, but many of these girls are personal friends. I'm just disappointed. I'll be there again Saturday... ready to be thrilled.

34% on 2 point shots is just pathetic and many of those two point shots weren't really that bad of shots. This team is consistently shooting poorly and it isn't exactly from the 3 point line.

If the Lady Griz shot their average of 38%, Lady Griz would have won.
 
I am just frustrated and gonna call it a night. LG and Griz lose games they both should have won. Need to come out Sat ready to play. GO GRIZ!
 
Take Edwards out more and let the others play . . . she cant practice because of her back, then why can she play so much? Senior leadership my butt - she can not produce so let the young ones prove they can!
 
Sounds like a tough loss for the Lady Griz. They need to be ready Saturday for Idaho State. They're an excellent offensive team and they showed that in an 84-74 win over the Lady Cats tonight. They have 3 very good players, Doma, Lightfoot, and another one...I forget her name. This is just a very brief and slightly informative scouting report for you.

When both teams lose on the same night, everybody gets frustrated.

Unfortunately, I am going to miss the next two Lady Griz games due to the fact I made a stupid mistake in planning a trip to Florida.

Will be back in time for the men's Griz-Cat game in Missoula, though, arriving by plane not 3 hours before game time.

thanks. I am hoping the Lady Griz got all their missed shots out of the way, and they make everyone of them on saturday. Lady Griz shoot their average could spell trouble against ISU.
