I was going to say, most improved and not brought back?

MVP & Most Exemplifies: Waddington. Curious who participated in vetting players, what matrix if any was used. You want to push or incentivize a high-quality player out of the LG, this is one way to do it. Waddington does not need the LG and could easily transfer to an upper D1 school. If the coaching staff participated in these award selections, they have lost my respect and likely along with other fans, they have an integrity problem, shame on them.

I think maybe the players are the ones that voted and this was their way of indicating to Harris what they thought about Macy and Draya being cut.

That's interesting, and lends some to team culture at this point in time. If they are not recognizing Waddington as a key and objective asset....??

It is my understanding, at least in past years, these are team decisions only and if that is so, it is sending a pretty strong message.

It’s obvious the girls themselves voted for these awards and it’s also obvious that these girls are catty and jealous, like most girls at that age.

I'd like to think the coaching staff is onto some of that. I'm of the school; snuff out the negatory small stuff, most definitely on court, it doesn't add to teamwork. Paying attention to the small stuff, micro aggressions presented overtly verbal/non-verbal (majority of basic interpersonal communication is non-verbal). I saw some evidence of snarlyness between players on court, Waddington communicating something to another player, the receiving player, (guard not playing very well, and this yr not on the team) reacted with a scowl, walked off. What was communicated who knows. During the Shannon years, there was plenty of dysfunction within ranks, it negatively impacted teamwork.

Is it possible the girls voted for the awards BEFORE they knew who was returning or are we are trying to read the minds of college athletes?

I shouldn't say this but if we want to give out post season awards, DW easily wins best.....bum in the Big Sky. Again I'm sorry for typing those words out but its true 100%

Wow. Apparently the awards are now for participation? What a disappointment for Waddington. Well at least we have her for next season. I can’t imagine her staying with some unofficial offers that I heard of. Wacker definitely should’ve received most improved.
