Lady Griz Rock!

I don't really know how Citygriz can be comparing griz football, mens basketball to our Lady Griz team. First of all, look at the percentage of african american athletes in the NFL, and NBA to the WNBA. Huge difference. Second, who is to say that Robin has not recruited african american players. It might be a smaller number, but when you have the ladies from Montana with their skills and try to fill other spots on the team there is not much room to spare. Those players from out of state come to Montana to want to play. I really don't think that Robin has to go looking all that hard for them. There is some serious biasness in Citys posts and I don't understand it. It is what it is. Robin will be probably the number 3 winningest coach of all time by doing what he has done. Don't try to make something out of it that it is not. Keep doing what you are doing Robin! I can see sweet sixteen, if not better when we can pull Hurley and Tinkle into our program. I honestly have not seen a better freshman girl basketball player than when I saw Hurley play in Frenchtown a couple of years ago, at which time she was attending Pat Summits camps in Tennessee. The only thing I did not like was the fact that her coach kept her playing to pad her stats when they were up by 40. It was ridiculous. We have a very bright future!

Getting Ali Hurley is far from a given for Selvig at this point.

I am sure Selvig would be the first to agree. Tinkle is no guarantee either. Either one or both of them could end up out of state. Let's just hope they both stay healthy and get a chance to enjoy their HS careers before the fans and media bombard them with all the usual recruiting related questions.

I would say Selvig has a better chance at Tinkle than Hurley, although both or neither is certainly possible. From what I have heard through the grapevine Arizona is leading for her services (she has an offer already) and there are 1 or two programs that have contacted her that she commit to right now if they offered.

Mandy Morales was named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week for the fourth consecutive week. First time this has happened in Big Sky Conference.

Interestingly, the LG lead the nation in trey % @ 43.5 (161 - 232), sixth in FT % @ 78.2 (195 - 247) & 21st in scoring offense @ 78.5 ppg.
This is a good year to sweep the conference.

first stat i checked was, fouls--to see if the polish cow belles got homered. nope! only 13 fouls to our 16, had seven more foul shots, made five more than we did.

but, poor mandy--only three rebounds. off night for her, i guess. greenacres will be pleased. cate woulda had 50. cate can put up phenomonal numbers--as long as she's playing in greenacre's poorly lit memory.

LG #32 in both AP Poll & Coaches Poll.

#13 in Team Scoring @ 79.9 points per game, #5 in FT % @ 78.9 % & #2 in 3PT% @ 42.9.
