Lady Griz NOT in Mid-Major Top 25

The Lady Griz finally were getting some votes this week but are far short from being in the Top 25. Weirdly 2 teams behind them in the standings are getting many more votes(Idaho State and Montana State). Guess they are just gonna have to prove themselves worthy by keeping on winning. Go Lady Griz!

Losing to EWU or MSU or both really hurt them...just a guess...and WSU really doesn't help out the conference.

Well, they already avenged the earlier 2 point lose to EWU by beating them by 25. I doubt those two losses were that bad, since EWU's RPI is 86 and MSU's RPI is 98.
http://www.realtimerpi.com/rpi_170_Women.html

In fact, all 5 losses have come to quality opponents according to RPI. 4 were to top 100 RPI teams and the season opening loss to Temple was their lowest RPI loss (Temple is currently 106).

Not to put the men down but just for comparison...
Montana Griz

Also: beat San Diego (165) and Idaho (176)...all other wins below 229 RPI
SOS: 297

Alright, I think the credibility of the women's poll is out the window...

I am glad they finally realized ISU was a middle-of-the-pack BSC team and dropped them (odd timing, however, after ISU actually won last week and moved up to 4th in the BSC standings). I even understand not ranking the LG after they split last week. But how do they justify voting for MSU, who is on a 5 game losing streak and is 6th in the BSC with a (14-9, 8-6) record, over the LG (who are (17-6, 11-3), leading the BSC, and have won 6 of the last 7 as well as 9 of the last 11)?

Pretty sure those are the Lady Griz's votes, same reason North Dakota usually gets lots of votes in the FCS Football polls, they are simply confused with the similar names by incompetent sports writers.

Just for comparison:

http://www.realtimerpi.com/rpi_Women.html

17.) BYU (16-7) RPI: 64, SOS: 114, Conf RPI: 7/7 (WCC)
18.) Wichita State (16-7) RPI: 78, SOS: 106, Conf RPI: 10/9 (Missouri Valley)
19.) Western Kentucky (17-6) RPI: 89, SOS: 201, Conf RPI: 12/12 (Sunbelt)
20.) Bowling Green (15-8) RPI: 97, SOS: 134, Conf RPI: 18/16 (Mid-American)

Montana Lady Griz (17-6) RPI: 76, SOS: 150, Conf RPI/SOS: 15/17 (Big Sky)

So, LG have a better RPI than everyone in the 18-20 range and just as good or better record. Shouldn't they at least be #25?

Agreed Cujo. To see MSU anywhere on the list after their free fall indicates these writers are clueless and probably don't know the difference in the Montana schools.

Well, I always get California and California State mixed up as well. Same with Minnesota and Minnesota State; Maine and Maine State, etc., etc., etc. What the hell, don't you know how valuable their time is?

With the addition of the stolen votes from MSU the Lady Griz would still only be #30 and not quite crack the top 25.
