Lady Griz lose to Utah 68 - 42

Kind of what I expected. Lady Griz never play well in Salt Lake City against Utah. Even some of the best Lady Griz teams have blown out by Utah at their place. Two years ago, Lady Griz lost 77 - 38. In 2000, it was 67 - 49. In 1996, it was 73 - 54. 1998 was the closest loss to Utah, which they lost 71 - 64.

The Lady Griz very good when Hollie Tyler is playing well. Today, Hollie scored only 2 points in 23 minutes of play.

I didn't listen to the game, just watched the game tracker the last few minutes of the game.

With 24 turnovers, I suspect the Lady Griz were not able to get the ball to Hollie against Utah's defense, which is normally one of the nation's best.
There really isn't just one or two Lady Griz players turning it over. The turnovers were spread out.
Laura Cote played 12 minutes without a turnover. Possibly the best of any other Lady Griz player for taking care of the ball.

Johanna Clausen lead the team with 11 points.

Came out of the gates just terrible. It was probably a mistake to start Monaco. She only played 8 minutes and had 3 or 4 turnovers. I don't know if it was the injury or just that fact she hasn't practiced. It was also a mistake to come out in a zone. Utah hit six 3's right away. Had a chance to get it to 24-20 but we had a couple missed FT's and then Utah hit another 3, and just like that Montana's down by 9 again.

Only down by 12 at half, but couldn't get any offense going. Stats didn't look too bad besides the turnovers, but our offense couldn't get going tonight. Tyler is a key and she couldn't get any looks for whatever reason.

Gotta shake it off and win both games at home this week.
