I'm taking the kids to their first basketball game Friday night(ages 10 and 13). Does this game usually sell out? I have tickets in sec 202 row9(hope there good seats). We never miss a football game and now we will try to jump in on the basketball schedule.
Go Griz!!

If your worried about how good your seats are, here is a link that may help you.

The arena is kind of like WGS. There really aren't any bad seats. The worst ones are on the North upper deck. No seat backs - General admission.

Unfortunately, I don't think we have actually sold out a BB game for many years. It will be a good crowd, but won't sell out.

Last sell out of a Lady Griz game was the first round sub-regional Lady Griz vs La. Tech game in 2004 which is still the highest attended basketball game since the remodel.

But, don't worry, this game won't sell out. I predict 4,000 in attendance.

They had 4000 for the Holiday tourney so I think you will see between 5-6000.

We'll see. Sunday's game was only around 3,800. Last Fridays was around 4,000. But, Sunday's crowd looked larger than Friday's.

Anyway, I hope that there are more than 4,000. Attendance is slightly down this year. Only around 50 fewer per game, though(that is through the first 7 home games).

Last years Holiday tournament drew over 1,273 more fans than this holiday tournament. I should say, last years attendance was lower than this years prior to the holiday tournament. Although I do like the round robin format, it may not be as attractive overall as having four teams in the tournament.

Last years Lady Griz - Cat game drew only 4,766 fans when all the students were back. This years game being played during winter break, plus the fact that attendance is already slightly down, I still predict attendance to be closer to 4,000. Maybe 4,000 to 4,500 fans. We'll see.
