Lady Griz play Idaho on the road tonight and then will have around a week off to prepare for the trip to Cancun where they play Big Ten conference's Illinois Fighting Ilini, 11th ranked Maryland Terrapins, and South Dakota State Jack Rabbits.
Idaho's only game so far has been a 90 - 55 loss to Texas Tech. Texas Tech has 1 more vote than the Lady Griz do in the coaches poll (3 votes). Guess you should deduce lady Griz have two votes in the current coaches poll. So, just by judging from coaches poll, Texas Tech is slightly better then the Lady Griz and beat Idaho by a lot at home. Thus, Lady Griz should beat Idaho at Idaho but likely not by as big of a score due to it being at Idaho, Newlee coaching Idaho, and this is the first road game by Lady Griz. I figure approximately a 10 point win by Lady Griz.
Idaho is coached by former coach John Newlee as mentioned. Newlee knows Montana and should be prepared for the Lady Griz. He will be hoping his players can get really hot at the 3 point line. Starts 4 guards. Team doesn't have much height.
I am hoping Lady Griz get off to a good start this game so that Selvig can get more than 6 players with 10 minutes or more playing time. Lady Griz do have talent on the bench although it is pretty much unproven talent due to lack of experience and playing time. I figure this should be a game he can help develop the bench some by giving some of the young players some playing time in this game. The Wyoming game he wasn't able to and only had 6 players with 15 minutes or more of playing time. Linford would have had more minutes if it weren't for fouls.

That trip trip to Cancun should be very fun for the girls but the games will be very tough. I just hope the Lady Griz can stick with Maryland enough to make it half way respectable. But if Lady Griz can only get 10 or more minutes with just six players, it could be a long night. Sonya is the most physically fit player on the team, and then Mandy (although she did get cramps in her calf late in second half of Wyoming game). Both will be playing a lot of minutes. But, three games in a row will be a lot to ask for no matter how fit a player is when playing a team like Maryland, and pretty much any Big Ten team (Illinois State) will be tough although I think the Lady Griz will beat them. Illinois State is going to be the first game for the Lady Griz. South Dakota State should also be beatable but did earn 1 vote in the preseason coaches poll so should have a respectable team. Not sure of how good South Dakota State's depth. Lady Griz play SDSU on the third night and I figure the team with the most depth will have the best advantage. But Lady Griz have the better talent.
