Lady Griz getting hammered

take a look around the country. Arizona has now lost 3 straight, should they fire Lute Olsen?

Since, 'Mr. Grizbacker,' you were the first to mention the firing of anyone on this thread, for some reason or another there's some kind of connection there that I seem to have missed, how that subject matter ever got introduced is quite beyond my comprehension at present, unless of course, you know something I don't. I guess your repudiation of my previous posting as an object of scorn citing my lack of experience upon the observation of basketball games in general evidently has some pertinent credentiality about it.

Fine, since I've never played in a 'woman's basketball game' I would have to say that anyone else that never played doesn't know what they're talking about either. In like instance, since I'am not a parent, I wouldn't know what constitutes child abuse since I don't know what it takes to be a parent, it is quite all right with me then that if I ever observe anyone throwing their three month old child out a four story building that i will just let it be & leave it up to the more 'experienced' person that just happens to be a parent to determine whether that is child abuse or not. Quite naturally, according to your admonition, by analogy, the final word on such treatment rests with the parents. So I'll just leave that up to them & go my merry way & forget about it. Thank you very much 'Mr. Grizbacker' on setting me straight as if you have a $ 50 million dollar investment in my life in order to justify having a $ 50 million dollar investment to protect.

Thanks for making a wonderful, yet unsuccessful attempt to impress me with your vocabulary. I will try and refrain from playing a game of verbal volleyball with the likes of you. I imagine you carry a #1 ranking in the "Equal Rights" State of Wyoming.

If you had not spent all your time getting defensive you might have figured out that my use of Lute Olsen being fired as as non-sensical as your reasons why the Lady Griz should have so easily beaten the Conference leading Weber State Wildcats in Ogden.

I know you love to impress with the big words, but you might have simply asked for an explanation, like an adult would have done. :crybaby:

If you had not spent all your time getting defensive you might have figured out

I should 'not' feel defensive when someone attacks my character? As if your way of presenting a valid opinion is to belittle someone and deliver a non sequitur and state that I should have known better. As if I should bend a knee to your august presence o' mighty 'legend in your own mind.'

Sorry about the vocabulary, I guess from now on I should stick to 'four letter' words. That way you won't have to feel so inadequate. Until then, I stand by my previous posting.

A conference leading team with eight losses already. A lose to a BYU team by 37 points that barely defeated a Wyoming squad by three. The same Wyoming squad that the LG defeated twice. If a team sets seasonal goals some of them should be to win the conference, if realistically possible considering the talent present. Not by being emotionally drained by playing just one game & blowing off the rest of the season. Playing one game at a time & being prepared for each one would qualify a team that is striving to host a BSC Tournament & reaching the NCAAs.

Last year Mandy Morales stated uneqivocally that 'they were going to work hard' in the off-season. Evidently they didn't work hard enough.

I guess now, the Lady Griz are going to blow off the rest of the season because they had one bad game. Evidently you just figured the Lady Griz were not human up to this point.

Think Mandy's quote meant that the only way to show that the Lady Griz worked hard was to go undefeated in conference?

I don't think so. I believe, and I know I am right, that this 16 - 2 record is proof of how hard they have worked last summer.

Anyway, BYU is a top 50 team in RPI who has beaten a team ranked higher than any team Lady Griz played. How have the Lady Griz done so far playing top 25 teams? They got blown out. How has BYU done against top 25 teams? They beat a top 25 team at their place. Actually BYU beat a team at their place that is ranked in the top 10 currently in both coaches and AP.

So, if BYU can beat a team ranked in top 10, they certainly can blow out a team like Weber State.

On the other hand, since BYU can have a tough time against a team like Wyoming, which is a pretty tough team in itself, Montana can also have a tough time with a team that isn't as good as they are. It's not like Lady Griz blew Wyoming out on their own court. Both games were tough as nails.

Also, Just because Weber state has 8 losses doesn't mean they are all that bad. They played a tough schedule, almost beating a team better than any team Lady Griz beat. But, even though they lost to kansas State (ranked 25 in AP, and RPI around 22) by only 5 points on the road, I guess that means nothing to you. I mean Lady Griz never beat anybody as good as Kansas State. Best team Lady Griz beat was Davidson who isn't even getting any votes, and aren't even ranked close to what Kansas State is in polls or RPI. Heck, Other than Ohio State, Davidson is the best team Lady Griz played. So, even though Weber State's record was dismal, it prepared them for the conference and to be able to compete very well at home to the conference's best team, Lady Griz.

But, here is some scoring comparisons here using your logic.

BYU beat 9th ranked Stanford in Stanford, beat unranked Wyoming by only 4 points in BYU, Montana beat Wyoming twice, therefore, you would expect Lady Griz should beat both BYU and 9th ranked Stanford on the road because of the scoring comparisons and because you think Lady Griz are just not human and incapable of having one or two bad games.

I think the above paragraph is silly, just like your argument. Maybe you have been paying to much attention to the polls and thinking the Lady Griz are much better than they are.

Anyway, this is one of the best Lady Griz teams we have had. Doesn't mean they can't lose to anyone. The team is far better than they were last year, and that is proof enough for me on how hard they worked last summer.

But, I guess you wrote them off and the rest of the season because of one bad game. Even though, Lady Griz just need to win all the rest of their games to host tournament, you are jumping off the band wagon. So sorry.

It's interesting that at the location I am that there are other persons that are also sports fans. One that is an alumni of Oklahoma St., another of Kentucky, a couple for Georgia and one that was a member of the Georgia Tech Marching Band. One girl favors William & Mary and one that went to the Griz - Furman game in 2001 because the Paladins were hers. A couple for Notre Dame etc. etc. etc. Another that knows all about the tradition of a #14 tradition for the Alabama Crimson Tide. All graduates. A handful of Griz fans and some that are Bobcat fans. But the ones I hate the most more than any other are the Griz fans. Of any fan base the Griz fans are the worse of all of them combined. They're disgusting. They pride themselves upon their so-called knowledge of the game by merely yelping big noise & the denouncement of any type of opinion that doesn't patronize their fetid little asshole of an athletic department that is so transparent it's ridiculous. For instance? Why did Wayne Tinkle get a three year contract without prior head coaching experience? So UM can sucker his daughter Joslyn Tinkle into going to the LGriz after high school. Small people in a small town. Get over yourselves!!!

I still say it was a disgusting insult the latest lack of motivation on the part of the LG. You think any Top 25 team would get away from that kind of lackadaisical performance without getting snake-eyed? Get real.

And what Big Town are you in Mr Big Time in Wyoming? The last time I checked Montana had more going on than that windblown shithole state you live in. Why do you call yourself a Griz fan when you take cheapshots at the University, the State, the city of Missoula, the coach and administration. The Griz hardly need a jackoff like you saying they are a fan. Go over to Laramie and watch that POS program that can't even outdraw this crappy school you hate. I am sure you look better wearing shit brown anyway.

As for Joslyn Tinkle being part of the equation, you must have overdosed. If you think that her dad being head coach of the Griz is going to make the decision for her, then why is it she is still looking at scholls all across the US? Why hasn't she given a verbal committment to UM, just as the Sophomore named Osweiller from Kalispell has given to Gonzaga. Let me clue you in pinhead. It is because Montana doesn't have a deal that includes Joslyn in exchange for Wayne. You are the moron of morons if you think that is why Jim O'Day promoted Wayne. Wayne had more experience at the collegiate level than LK did in case you didn't know that either. The first person LK wanted on his staff was Tinkle. Take a look around the country at all the assistant coaches who were promoted from assistant jobs.

I can hardly wait for your next profanity laced response. Have another swig of whiskey and get after it. The more you post, the more you expose what a dweeb you really are.
