Or, if he takes them to the tourney, does he get the Don Holst treatment?
 
Unless required by law, I think a national search is a waste of time and money.

Nate Harris should be made HC, three-year contract, Lindsay Woolley the assistant head coach, and Coach Emma List and Kayla Anderson retained and all of them given a raise !!!

Our team could have imploded after whatever Holsinger did to one of them, one of his assistants but they didn't--the staff and our girls never quit, they kept scrapping, kept fighting and didn't lose confidence in our Coaches Harris, Woolley, List and Anderson, or each other, and regardless of what happens tomorrow in Boise, we need to show our gratitude in their fortitude, determination and tenacity !!!

Coach Harris should 100% get a legit look at the head coach gig. I would argue what he had done with a dysfunctional Lady Griz team dealing with the Holsinger fall out is even more impressive. It woud have been more normal for this team to fold like a chair after all that and they have done the opposite. To me, his coaching must be a huge part of it.

I agree Harris should get a legitimate look. I am pretty sure that UM requires that the job be posted and a search done. If Harris is chosen there is no guarantee that Wooley and rest of the staff will stay or even be retained by Harris--that would be up to him and them

This will be an interesting one, you are correct, "all over the place", up until something clicked with this team. And it looks to me almost like an epiphany the coach decided to change up his offense strategy, finally I guess after some affirmation the "total 3" was not working very well?? Maybe should have changed up that offense...awhile ago? Maybe there's another coach whose experience shows maximum flexibility using team resources, matching O and D strategies to challenges opposing teams present.

I do think team chemistry/culture is good, and likely tested out, possibly strengthened even with the disruption of a head coach leaving mid season. Just looking at these kids game time, all eyes and ears, warriors ready for the challenge. That doesn't happen out of a void.

I hear you Best, but if you're an a__hole AND you're physically assaulting your own assistant coaches, that's a little different situation. !!!
