Lady Griz won today in the Florida State Tournament and will meet Florida State tomorrow.
Katie Edwards lead the Lady Griz with 24 points.
Dana Conway had 8 points, both Clossen and Guardipee had 7 points.
Lady Griz didn't shoot well, making only 31.7% from the field.
Shot (15 - 17) 88.2% from the free throw line.
Lady Griz turned the ball over 20 times. Point guard Sonya Rogers was victim to 7 of those turnovers. Teams are likely going to go after this true freshman guard. She will make mistakes, but this will only make her better in the end as long as she can maintain confidence in herself. She did play 37 minutes in this game.
Lady Griz defense seemed to be pretty good. Wright State shot (19 - 71) 26.8% from the field, made only 6 - 9 free throws.
Lady Griz outrebounded Wright State 53 - 43. Lady Griz was lead in rebounding by Sara Gale's 9 rebounds.
At least something positive happened today. Hopefully, Lady Griz will be meeting the best team they have played so far this year tomorrow against Florida State. Florida State finished 6th in ACC, which is one of the best conferences in women's basketball. I'd say Florida State would win the Big Sky easily.
