Lady Griz played well at times in the second half, but wasn't enough to make a comeback from a 14 point deficit at the half. Lady Griz got within 7 points with a little more than 2 minutes left in the game.

Do not have the stats, but Dana Conway played very well with around 18 points.

Clossen had 12 points.

Lady Griz did turn the ball over 21 times, which turned into 22 points for Florida State.

Plus Florida State's offensive rebounding hurt the Lady Griz.

Florida State's athleticism at the start of the game beat the Lady Griz. But Lady Griz did play with them for the second half and parts of the first half. Heck, a 5 minute period near the end of the game, the Lady Griz out played the Florida State team.

Lady Griz play Wyoming on the road Dec. 2nd. Mandy Morales will hopefully be ready to play in that game and hopefully improve the point guard position, but she may not be ready. Sonya Rogers, as a true freshman, had to handle a lot of pressure yesterday and today. She struggled a bit today with 5 more turnovers, but that was two fewer than yesterday.

several good developments for the ladies this year. biggest: tamara guaurdipee may be a star. next: both dana conway and laura cote have elevated their games--especially conway. then: mandy morales seems to be just as good as advertised. finally, sonya rogers and brittney lohman appear ready to make solid contributions as true freshmen. note: i've just mentioned six players--four freshmen and two sophs. they have athleticism, and they have quicks. this group could really develop into something special.

Any news on the extent of Gardipee's knee injury? I am amazed by her quick feet, good hands, and court sense. She develop the best post player the Griz have had since Lisa McLeod Tinkle - but she was such a cutie that it was difficult to concentrate on how well she played.

Hope Mandy Morales can be back for the Wyoming trip. I agree that this has the potential of a great team with almost all young players. Nice to have Edwards and McLeod for their leadership. Fun to watch the development.

I talked to someone today that said it was not a serious injury, but that someone wasn't Selvig or the trainer so who knows.
