I just got back from the Lady Cats game against Northern Arizona about 45 minutes ago, and I saw the best performance from the Lady Cats this year, resulting in a 57-55 win for the Bobcats, giving NAU their first conference loss. The bench came up big and Alyssa Wahl was held to 5 points and fouled out at the end of the game. I know the headline was kind of stupid, but the Bobcat win will help the Lady Griz. They'll take care of Sac St. tonight, I'm sure. Good luck to them.

Aww, the intensity of the Lady Griz-Lumberjack game on thursday must have wore NAU down to give them a letdown. Upsets happen that way, even to the best.
But, NAU got a split on a very tough road trip. Still have to give NAU the edge in that respect. Also, even though the cats beat NAU, cats are unlikely going to be positioned at or near the top. NAU is still likely to be contending for the top spot.
Lady Griz still have to beat NAU at their place or hope that NAU finishes with one or more losses than the Lady Griz, so Cat win over NAU does help. It helps because now Lady Griz are now back in control of their own destiny. Lady Griz win out, Lady Griz host tournament.
But, the way Lady Griz are shooting, winning out could be near impossible.
Selvig likes defense because it gives them a chance to win more games. But, shooting 36% often gives the other team a chance to win. If there has been any consistency to the Lady Griz, it is that they have pretty consistent shooting around 36 to 37%. Almost every team they play may have a chance to beat the Lady Griz this year.
Lady Griz are still going to finish out with a decent record in conference. It just isn't going to be pretty unless Edwards can start shooting better.
