Did Selvig get to vote? hahaha
If this is the coaches poll, yes we would have gotten a vote. If I remember correctly, though, I don't think you can vote for your own team.

This poll looks like the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll. Dan Muscatell, Sac State womens coach is on it. Guess you can guess that he is the one coach to vote for the Lady Griz.

The Griz received 1 vote in the Associated Press poll sometime last december.

yes, this was the ESPN/USA today poll..its just good to see us in there. It never hurts to be in the poll, its great for recruiting

the lady griz used to show up regularly in the usa today poll. there were a couple of years in there when we cracked the top 25, and our results and schedule for the week got special mention every tuesday.

ah, but those were the good ole days, a distant memory now when it's a big deal to get one vote in the national poll. the lady griz have gone from being a program that competed on the national stage to one that is now a "big sky power." and we might not be even that were it not that mandy morales got homesick her first summer in arizona.

robin is a great coach no question, and his record of recruiting native americans is stellar. i still say, it's quite an accomplishment to get even one vote in the natonal poll when your record over 20 years is that of having but one black player. imagine where our football and men's basketball programs would be if they if they had similar recruiting histories.

City,

It would be much easier for you to start a file of your favorite D1 Football mantra and the tired Robin won't recruit an inner city balck player. It is a given we will seeeach of them about 25 times each per season. :deadhorse: That poor damn horse.

oh, speaking of the deficit in our athletic budget, and the high cost of stadium expansion, i learned tonight that if boise state goes undefeated, as it appers they will, and makes it to the fiesta bowl, as looks likely, it will mean $9 million for them and the wac.

remind me again what our take will be if we make it to chattanooga.

Our take will be another National Championship Trophy for The Last Dynasty!

Go Griz!

Maul'em!

yup, and a continuing struggle to find the money to put meat on the only cash cow the football program has, wash-griz.

there are now three divisions to college football: the big guys, who stole the money; the medium-sized guys who get some money and can occasionally raid one of the big bowls; and the little guys, i.e. us, for whom there is NO money, nada, zip, zilch.

remember when somebody asked willie sutton, the famous bank robber, why he robbed banks? "because that's where the money is," he said.

i doubt you'd ever see willie sutton trying to break into the 1-aa bank.

The Reno paper said that the share of the money that Nevada would receive would be about 750,000. Thats a huge windfall for any school. I'm not saying make the jump but wow that is some serious cash for being a member. What do we get for being in the Big Sky?

Totally typical. We'll get better. Yeah, Selvig does have a stellar history of getting native american players. Hey, with all the rez's in MT, who can blame him :loser: ?
Ahhh, maybe Guardipee will step up some. Hopefully, we'll be a good team.

After watching the Lady Griz for going on twenty five years now one thing I've noticed is that they could have won (or at least tied) about seventy per cent of the games they lost if they had shot their free throws.

What's it take? An 'idealization' extrapolated as from a John Stuart Mill? 'Idealizing' the ball going in before one shoots it? Works for me about eighty to ninety per cent of the time.
