Ronbo, you play with who you sign and recruit. Robin constantly wins the Big Sky and makes the Tourneys with who he's got. The NCAAs are not going to give us a better seed because of diversity. If there was a lady who is african american and is thinking about the Griz I'm sure Robin will recruit her, but if another girl is a better player should he take her because of her ethnicity?

You use the talent you have and recruit.

I would take the average African American over the average white kid anyday. Proven fact that African Americans are better athletes than white kids. I think he is saying Selvig should try to start to recruit black kids to come up here and play.

Gumbel is absolutely right on all counts. Who was the last fastest man alive was not black? The winter games are sort of the special olympics of race.

Well said, Hells Bells. This *coach from hell* that you refer to did most of her recruiting in Texas. While this brought a new diversity to MSU women's basketball, these girls couldn't cut it here. They all left after one year. This is probably a result of said *coach from hell.* It wasn't until the end of her tenure when Montana recruiting picked up again; by then she overstayed her welcome. I don't think Robin should change his recruiting patterns. If he sees a great player from anywhere, he usually gets her, regardless of race. I think the Lady Griz program is in just fine shape.

Well said, Hells Bells. This *coach from hell* that you refer to did most of her recruiting in Texas. While this brought a new diversity to MSU women's basketball, these girls couldn't cut it here. a couple of them were alright players, one looked like she was out of shape and was hurt for most of the year from what i recall. most of her recruits were from riks (sp) junior college in Idaho....not good.

i think one of them had a sister that was the star player
and a couple of them were from bozo...but then again one was a mccarthy recruit

Not everything in life has an either/or answer that you always seem to come up with -- school test/grades are that way, but life isn't. We just recrtuited a 7 footer, Graves, Rundles, and of course GUS CHASE!!!!! We will suffer a lose without Matthews and Criswell next year but we will be just fine with Strait Dlouhy Hasquet Ellis and everybody else. Krysko is building a great program and if we new how to close teams out we would probably have 1-2 losses right now and be in the hunt for a top 25 seed!
