Krysko versus Monte tonight

Utah, the PAC-12's most improved team, visits Cal @ 9 PM on ESPNU...two guys who make us remember how good Griz b-ball (and the BSC)used to be...with apologies to those still wearing rose-colored specs... :coffee:

So who are watching the Stanford-Colorado game (ESPN2) together? Cardinal grads Andrew Luck and Richard Sherman (and they seem to be getting along...)

They made the mistake of panning the arena at one point and it looked like it had way too many empty seats. Pac 12 doesn't look like it fills the seats much better than us based on what I saw. How come there is little love for bball anymore? Is overall attendance down nationwide?

8267 at Cal/Utah last night, slightly above Cal's average this year.

Attendance for ncaa men's games was done slightly last year.

It looks like Pac 12 attendance is down this year, but it's up at some schools.

The chart is as of Feb. 11:

Attendance from last year to this

School 2014 Avg. 2013 Avg. Perc. +/-
Arizona 14,416 14,157 + 1.8
Ariz. St. 6,317 6,143 +2.8
California 8,056 8,297 - 3.0
Colorado 9,546 10,392 - 8.1
Oregon 7,161 7,602 - 4.8
Oregon St. 3,938 4,784 - 17.7
Stanford 4,972 4,530 + 9.8
UCLA 7,852 9,549 - 17.8
USC 4,615 4,242 + 8.8
Utah 9,972 8,611 + 15.8
UW 6,345 7,937 - 20.1
WSU 2,882 4,901 - 41.2

Could be that people don't want to watch a 60-50 contest. I wish they would change the shot clock to match the NBA. Would certainly lead to more entertaining games.

Frankly, I'd MUCH rather watch a 60-50 game than a 105-95 game.

But then, I'm a guy who enjoys watching great defense over, say, a dunk.

The score matters very little to me. I will admit, I hate all the nit picky whistles from the new officiating emphasis. It takes too much away from the flow of the game for me.

Krysko's squad won 63 -59 I believe and one article I looked at says the loss might have dropped Monty's crew off "the bubble".

Score sounds like a "Monty/Krysko" game.

Sounds familiar. Monty's usual late season swoon.
