We get it, you dont like the guy. This is a Montana board though so if you want to rag on him go elsewhere, aka your own board and do so. This must be your 30th comment in regard to it at least.

i posted today just to get under your skin digger, & see what kind of rebuttal you would throw out there as part of his defense team. You must have one special connection w/ the guy. Just so we're Clear i haven't seen a coach as bad as LK in the Dee Events Center in atleast a half a decade

You'll realize how much Tinkle depended on Evans making a lot of those defensive/halftime adjustments, next year. Evans was the key to the success of the Grizz staff. Nothing against Tinks. I like the guy and think he is a hell of a good guy and coach, but Evans was the ace in the hole for the Grizz basketball team. Look at your record pre Evans and then look at them with Evans. Pretty substantial difference between the seasons and what the Grizz were known for. Defense became the strong suit for the Grizz over the past four odd years, exactly when Evans was in Missoula.
But hell, yeah, Randy Rahe is such a terrible coach. I mean, three Big Sky championships. A record of 120-66 overall and four 20 win seasons. Damn, I wish we had the calibre of coach like Brad Huse or BJ Hill. Shit I hate being successful every year.
As for LK...he has his hands full. But things might be looking up. He will have a lot more talent at his disposal this year than he did last year. Still though its not going to be a smooth season for LK and the Utes. I say give LK time, see what he can do in three or four years. The problem with the Utes is that they are extremely impatient. Yes, they have had some success in football the past decade and half, but everyone forgets that Utah is a basketball school. They have one of the winningest programs in the NCAA, last I checked they were somewhere betwee 10th and 15th. The big money in Utah want to see the basketball team more successful than the football team. I'm afraid they won't give LK enough time to prove himself.

Now if you could teach your fellow fans how to post on an opponents fan website, regarding the LK part. As for the Tinkle part, I will agree, Evans made a huge impact. However, I will disagree, in the defense falling without him. Tinkle is a damn smart coach, and person. He, and rest the staff have learned from Evans, and DEFENSE will remain a staple, and expectation in any Tinkle coached program.
To date, his hiring of Evans, was the best decision he made in his coaching career. The recruiting of Cherry, Qvale, Anthony Johnson, and Jamar, surely did not hurt either. Tinkle is far ahead of any prior GRIZ coach, when it comes to recruiting his kind of players, and talented too. :thumb:
mtgrizrule said:You proved my point, you name 3 off the top of your head. I named 4 off the top my head. Also keep in mind, the college basketball landscape was much different then. I will give you, MRR as the most talented ever GRIZ, as would anyone.
Credibility, should we ask egrizzers who has more GRIZ basketball credibility here? Funny, how you have a problem with egrizzers, that for the most part, post quality stuff about football and/or basketball. You have a habit of dumb ass remarks to bwahlberg as well. Yet most of egriz would take his football analysis over yours. I have not seen one post ever about how egrizzer looks forward to your break down of GRIZ football, or basketball. Bwahlberg gets a lot of thanks and kudos on the football side.
On the basketball side, we have several posters that contribute pretty solid, or better egriz posts. I have seen posters positively comment on my basketball posts, along with mslacat, and few others. I cannot speak for bwahlberg on the football side, but can speak for myself. I love GRIZ basketball, and love to give honest opinions, good, bad, or indifferent here.
I know you are a legend. Being you are a legend in your own mind. G1, as hard as it is to fathom, you are probably the least credible, and most definitely the least respected egriz poster. I surely will take the thanks I get from egrizzers, coaches, and even a few players, about my mindset, and attitude on GRIZ basketball. Kind of ironic, after I moved to Denver, egrizzers are still looking for someone to consistently post GRIZ updates on how players are progressing, looking, strengths, and weaknesses.
Come on G1, do you really need more ridicule on who has more GRIZ basketball credibility here? Now, as GB would say "go change your depends." Better yet, go back to whatever rock you reside under.

MTGrizRule: Your Montana Grizzly hoops analysis has always been of the highest caliber. And that, very importantly, includes how you treat all other posters. Keep it up!
Beyond Montana's run to the Big Sky championship this year, it's been fun reading lively, yet constructive discourse from several posters, who besides MtGrizRule include: BWahlberg, ordigger, PeauxRouge, AZGrizfan, EverettGriz, citay, Maynardsgametrail, 68Griz, MtJack, & many others (even a coupla from down Ogden way!).
Hope we can continue to build a robust, positive board!
