Kittens vs Rabbits Game Day thread

It doesn't appear that they're actually able to block the SDSU front. Are they that much better? Wait, I'll answer that. Why yes, they sure as hell are.

Oh, and I noticed they seem to be able to block Bozeman's defense. Before you ask, No. Not so much.

The difference in talent and coaching is night and day. What a butt whooping.

PR will be along to tell you that the cats would have won except they had one of their dual QBs injured.

I remember when I used to cheer against the Griz in the playoffs, especially when they used routinely blow the barn doors off the Cats. It reeked of desperation and bitterness and it revealed the state of our program. No hate for cheering against the Cats, guys, I’d do the same thing if you were in this spot too. But you can do better, and every time PR says you should settle for making the playoffs, remind him that he sounds like Rub Ass circa 2011-2013. It was cool being decent 10 years ago, but it never felt like it was enough. PR, I am sure coach Ass is available if you want to keep up the good feelings.

Wow the road cats and home cats couldn’t be more different. What an ass kickings. The cats literally looked like a bad High school team compared to sdsu. I thought it would be a game. MSU was destroyed and it’s glorious

This is why this place needs a like button. Well done.

I’d say the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot. Again, the Griz can do better than settling for a playoff appearance. I remember how much you guys ridiculed us for our awesome preseason rankings that were eventually exposed by better teams. That’s where you are now - decent regular season, a bitter loss to your rival, and an even playoff record.

Take joy in the Cats getting beat down. It is totally fair; it would be the joy of bobcat nation 10 years ago. But don’t settle for this kind of season, despite what Pepe-pumping PR has to say. With the stadium, facilities, and record the Griz have, finishing with 8 wins should be the bare-bottom expectation for a rebuilding year. Anyone who tries to sell you differently is just making excuses, just as so many Cat fans did for Rub Ass.

I knew my $10 wager on the cats to win would jinx them. You’re welcome Griz nation.

Me too. I went $40 Cats money line at +110. Shaun Rainey calls it “hedging my happiness”.

The Cats wins on the road we’re against poor record teams. In fact, the Cats struggled with EWU and Northern Arizona on the road.
The only teams with a winning record the Cats played on the road, they were hammered by.
52 yards rushing today by the Cats.
Go Griz!

Yep, but they had a great season. Kind of shows how far the Griz have to go to get back to being relevant.

Honest question: Are the cats relevant?

Usually I would be ticked off by your post. Can’t be though. What you stated is true. Grizzlies need an offensive line, way bigger D line and a new scheme. QB as well, but the Griz could not pound the rock this year consistently. Cats O line is too small to win the chipper. Once they get some beef on them look out. Defense is a legit problem. Big Sky teams are nowhere near competing for the chipper. Long ways to go and the Cats are ahead in the arms race right now. Next year will be interesting. I believe the BSC got a lot worse with the loss of numerous coaches. UNC being the exception. Praying for a lot of portal presents this Christmas.

Exactly. I'm not talking badly about the Cats, but I won a good chunk of money against a buddy who is a huge cat fan. After watching the Cats this year on the road, where they were almost beat by two bottom dwellers, versus home, and watching lots of SDSU, who is as good or better than the Cats at nearly every position, I didn't think there was any real chance of the Cats winning today. After the first quarter that seemed to be the case. The Cats schedule was an anomaly, not having to play any tough games on the road except the first and last games which did not go well at all. Congrats to the Cats on a good season! I'll be rooting for SDSU in the chipper. Crazy how long their head coach has been there, with a bunch of medocre seasons, and now an opportunity to get a title.

If it makes you feel any better, I cheer against the cats even during their worst seasons

One thing I've learned over the years is that the MFVC top teams are 10x better than the Big Skys top teams. It's a sad reality. I have no clue why anyone would want to choose to live in either Dakotas, for any period of time. It's quite gross. But, somehow they convince kids to come to their shitholes for at least a few years. We are doing something horribly wrong and they are doing something magnificently right. And I think it starts with their recruiting territory. At this rate, we should just offer every kid they offer, kinda like the cats do with us 🤣 😂
