Where do you come up with this number? If you first said double it then it should be 60%. There were 9 games left on the schedule so 60% of 9 is 5.4 Now I know this might confuse you, but we can't play .4 of a game, so let's just drop that and give him a 5 game suspension. Now where did you study math...WIZ?

I haven't seen anyone on here saying UM shouldn't deal with the problems as they arise, nor suggesting that Hendo not be punished according to the level of the offense. Certainly Tinkle COULD have used this unfortunate instance as an opportunity to show that UM Athletics are indeed at least trying to turn the ship around by imposing more than the obligatory minimum slap on the wrist, but he chose not to.... His actions speak volumes, unfortunately those actions appear to mimic years past that got UM Athletics in the mess they are in now.....

You never had a glass of wine under the age of 21 or a single beer? As was said earlier, to blow a .02 it could have been something as simple as 1 glass of wine at dinner, or a single beer with friends. No need to turn this into something bigger than it was. He was suspended 2 games for this, and I'm confident that it sent the right message suspending him for 2 games.
So I'm curious, you keep stating that Tinkle should have done more... yet you offer up no opinion on what he should have done. What do you think he should have done? Be specific here, none of this "he should have done more" bullshit.

This type of over-reactionary bullshit from people like you is why we end up with some really fucked up laws and punishments out there for minor offenses nowadays. The guy likely had a beer or the equivalent of a beer, and got busted. He served his 2 game suspension, which as I stated earlier would be hell for a player trying to get more playing time, and I'm confident he got the message. I'm sure he also had a pretty good sit down meeting with Tinkle over this incident too.

I trust Tinkle's judgement over some anonymous guy on a message board who flails their hands wildly in the air while screaming and over reacting to every minor issue.

OK - let me type real REAL slow for you with the hopes that you can understand.... KH committed a total of TWO infractions against the UM Athlete CoC.... 1st offense is 1 game suspension.. the 2nd IS SUSPENSION FROM 30% of scheduled games....

Read my post Einstein.. if Tinkle does not want to follow the rules and provide a 2nd offense punishment, then I said that he should have at least DOUBLED the obligatory 2 game suspension....

Put your big boy pants on and try to understand that.....

besides, by the looks of last nights game, Tinkle could have done the right thing and the team would be no worse off!!

First of all I hate drinking and driving. I hate it. That bein said if Kevin was "drunk" by all means punish him. From what I've heard though he wasn't legally drunk. Until I learn he was I say this, he got punished. He was underage and had alcohol. He was caught. He was punished. I don't consider a .02 to be drunk driving. And like others said, if 18 year olds can fight for our country, why can't a 20 year old have a beer?
