He was interviewed at halftime of the football game and eluded that he may be able to play this year but they didn't talk about specifics. Does anybody have more information to share?

I know Basketball has different transfer rules based on when they transfer...i.e. because it crosses over semesters if you transfer in the first, you are eligible the second of the next season, so can play half for one team, sit a year, play half a season for another. When did he officially leave OSU? Unless he wasn't on scholarship at the end, perhaps they're using that as a loophole? Interesting in deed...
 
Mark Smith at Mizzou got a pretty dubious hardship waiver and supposedly in part because his previous school (Illinois) had no interest in blocking the wavier. I'd imagine that Tinkle wouldn't be that interested in impeding Manuel's transfer to Montana unless he really thought the kid was about to break out on the Pac 12 level.
