While more and more freshmen are entering the fray, one senior – receiver Gerald Kemp – remains sidelined. Delaney is hopeful to have Kemp back in the fold soon.
“That process is still ongoing with the NCAA and until they’re finished, we’re not going to get a decision one way or the other,” said Delaney. “Initially it (the NCAA’s suspension) was four weeks and … there are still questions out there about things.
“I honestly don’t know what they are, but I do know that they have not come to a conclusion so that they can say, ‘Yes, he’s OK,’ or, ‘No, he’s not because of this, that or the other thing.’ We’re still in limbo on that.
“He still practices every day and hopefully, maybe in the next week or week and a half, something will come down the road. You just hope that he gets the opportunity to play games. But again, I don’t know what’s out there and I’m not sure Gerald knows. They have not talked to him in, gosh, almost a month now.”

What I find incredible is the lack of urgency of the NCAA regarding one of their student athletes and his athletic career.
Truly pathetic.
