Kefense Hynson vs Robin Pflugrad

Scott Disick

Well-known member
Both have proven to be excellent offensive minds and play callers. Now that the dust has settled off the field and Hynson has implemented his system, how would you football genius' compare him as a coordinator and possible future head coach with Robin? Discuss.

I'm starting to use some of Alpha's playbook. Talk in riddles on occasion. Live at above market rent in some poster's heads.

The two are so different in terms of scheme that its not really possible to make a fair comparison.

Precisely why I thought it would be an interesting comparison/discussion. I would elaborate more, but many of you have never played the game and would not understand. I will say that coach Hynson is growing on me; his use of Travon Van in the passing game is one example.

There's no comparison. I'd like to say more, but I can't.

Do I smell a brand new catch all phrase? Of course I never played the game and should be band!
Edit: Damn you Disick!

KH.

You win football games at the LOS.

I'd say more but...some of you couldn't read it anyway.

great analysis...when RP got his system rolling, the rushing totals were putrid....

oh...you must've been joking! Whew, was worried that you were the stupidest human on the face of the earth.

Never mind, carry on.

I gotta think with your strong recent performances that you'll have a lock on the number one spot in that poll. What is this, 32 straight weeks. Congrats to ya! :thumb:

Does anyone really have a problem with our offensive production this year? RP was sharp but I don't recall 5-1 and leading the conference in defense and offense being a bad thing. RP will make a great HC...at Weber. Time to move along.

KH gears his offense and play calling to the talent on the roster. RP tries to convert the talent on the roster to his offense and that does not always work.

It sure as hell was working at the end of 2011.

And then we went and fired him.

I love how our offense has been lately, but if given a choice, I'd take Pflu back in a heartbeat.

Rp had some of his recruits in by 2011 especially a qb named Johnson. He tried forcing existing talent to his scheme in 2010 and ended our string of playoff appearances. Would he have continued to be successful if he had not been fired? I honestly do not know what would have happened in that case.

I still don't get the people that are pissed about that. Why the hell would he continue running Bobby's scheme? Pflu running his scheme got a hell of a lot further than Pflu running Bobby's scheme would have, even with the one below average season.

Don't believe me?

Last year we schemed for the talent that we had, running a system that the coaches didn't understand.

Look how well that worked out. :coffee:

Pflu would have had to adjust everything eventually, and an overnight change allowed the success we had in 2011. It was, and still is, the right move.

I like the versatility in the current offense. Hard to argue against Pflu's offense, come the end of 2011 it was damn fun too watch. I will definitely take the ability to get short yardage under the current system.

Not bashing on Pflu here, but it was frustrating watching that offense in short yardage situations. Slight edge to this year's offense. It helps the team more in short yardage, and keeps the defense off the field more, from sustained drives.
