Thanks, you beat me to it. That was at the end of the first half, BTW, with NAU near midfield. A really, really smart special teams move when you know they might try that or some weird trick play. Unfortunately, we've deleted our recording, so I can't check: Seems to me the #2 QB heaved it as far as he could and still did not quite reach the EZ.

Sammy Akem was back there as well, I suspect there were other offensive players on the field too. They lined up with about 5 guys across the goal line. Really the smart thing for NAU would have been to throw a mid range pass (say to the 20 yard line) and then see if the Griz wide receivers can tackle.

This looked like a professional game of British Bulldog. Next time maybe the Cowboys set their line about 20 yards closer so the fastest guy in the league doesn't have a full head of steam and convoy of blockers.
