Seriously, I just do NOT get the constant negativity from some posters here. It just never seems to end.
There is a solution to your angst. You post pretty much every day, and most days multiple times. Taking a break might be good for you and for the rest of us as well

Actually we need more like him, to turn the tide of hate and negativity - to one of positive vibes, and enjoyment. To much trolling.

I realize there are some (many) of you that would like to see e-griz be some sort of smarmy booster club and control the content to only positive vibes. There are a couple ways to do that. Convince the moderator to ban anyone that doesn't meet your positive vibe standards. Or you could form your own mutual admiration society chat room and only communicate with each other. I have no problem with you refuting some posts that you don't agree with. Just quit whining about their ability to post and inferring they should leave the forum.

So you're ok with him inferring that I should leave, but not the other way around? You must be a liberal with that kind of double standard.

I have not noticed anyone wanting egriz to be a booster club, nor to have content controlled. Some would rather that there be a bit less over-the-top negativity, but that's the things in my first sentence.

I would ask catfish why he feels that he has to exaggerate and tell lies to try to make his point? What's wrong with sticking with the facts?

I would also ask catfish if he supports posters being non-stop negative, and often making up negative stuff that isn't accurate.

I also have to chuckle at posters who complain about whining by whining themselves.

And, AZ is a terrific poster, and catfish's posting is pretty weak, in my view.

AZ - what I would like is for you, with the help of Ordigger and others of your censor supporting buddies, is to come up with a set of positive vibe standards that you can submit, on another thread, that you expect your supposed minions to adhere to. Let's see how that goes over. By the way I believe that by "him" you actually meant me but I suspect you are part of the country's ever growing opioid crisis and can overlook that.

I don't really care what posters post. I think any forum dominated by AZ and Ordigger would be pretty boring. At times I miss 75. It is an internet forum and that is what you should expect. Personally I try to not be too negative although I don't always agree with the direction of the program. If you wan't a total positive reaction, as I said originally, start your own circle jerk chat room.

So do you view posters saying that they wish some posters would be less negative and more positive, is equal to "censorship"?

Okay, thanks for the response. Personally, I don't like posters exaggerating (in a big way) and lying. It mucks up the board.

I've never said I want a total positive reaction. I, myself, have been critical of certain positions/players/coaches at times...if you go back and read what I said, it's that I can't comprehend the CONSTANT negativity from certain posters. There's a handful on here who are the consummate "glass half empty" kind of people. Must be a real fucking joy to be around in real life.

It's a tough line to walk on eGriz...too positive and you're a "sugarcoater", too critical and you're a "bad fan".

Have to be like :-| or face the music.

Glad Curran rebounded from the UW game though.

AZ hit the nail on the head. Speak your mind, be impartial, keep it football-related, and who cares if anyone throws shit your way.

It's a message board for football fans.

What's funny is that all the "bad fans" (your words, not mine :D ) consider themselves as "realists". :? :?

I don't know about realist, that sounds like some kind of new-age deal, but I consider myself objective...that doesn't go over well at times either.

Not here, pal. :rule:

I just started blocking the worse offenders. Wish the block would work on the quoted paragraphs though. I will say that since Phillips injury, the board has banded together - much more so, than it has in many years.

There are still a few that you wonder, WTF are they thinking, but overall I've found the boards much more informative, and a lot less hateful the last couple days. We beat EWU - and we can build on that.

Very good point.

Reading eGriz reminds me of Oddball from Kelly's Heroes....."and those negative waves"

If you've seen the movie....you know what I mean. By the way I just realized we are playing the Tigers this week, so this link really could be eGriz...lol.

A correction is needed, if you'll put up with maybe just a couple more negative waves...Oddball is the tank commander, played by Donald Sutherland. The complainer featured in your post is Moriarty, the mechanic, played by Gavin Macleod.

It is Oddball (me) that is always saying stop the negative waves to Moriarty. Moriarty being eGriz.

Gotcha. Well, carry on, Oddball.
