Keci reports that Royce says....

The university will consider letting jj play again if he appeals...?
While I absolutely think RE is a complete douche and his comments after the verdict were completely out of line and showed that he really does have no leadership ability, what was he supposed to say here? I didn't see the news clip so I could be taking it out of context, but there is a process that must be followed. No point in having a policy if it isn't followed. I am sure the committee would approve his appeal, but RE can't really come out and say something that would bypass the committee before it does what it was created to do.

I think Royce does have a say in it, doesn't he sit on the athletic appeal board?

I don't think so. According to the Missoulian it's Gee, Haslam, Jim Lopach and another professor who I cannot recall.

I believe so, but even so he shouldn't really be commenting on the process (other that to explain the logistics of it) until the board does their job. At least that's my opinion.

Hmm, yeah I remember reading that too, but I felt like RE was either on it or in control of it to some degree. I could be wrong though, certainly wouldn't be the first time

The other guy is Greg machuk(sp). He is in the psych department I believe.

Even Engstrom isn't dumb enough to attempt the following: tell the board members to turn JJ down, much like a banker with the loan committee.

He would lose another AD if he did that.

He would lose HIS job....

I don't know. The arrogance and hubris of those that think they are the elite knows no bounds. Hope I'm wrong.

ccclark..I agree. The little former prof has already been able to get away with hard ball firing O'Day and Pflugrad. Hard to tell what he may try behind the scene. Also, remember his buddy Williams will be involved.

Thats correct but Engstrom still has to approve the appeal boards decision.
