Katie Edwards long slump may have come to an end. I, for one, do not consider 1 game an end to a slump, but this has got to be a good sign that it is. Plus, Katie had 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
Katie hit 7 - 8 from 3 point land, 10 - 15 from the field altogether, along with a freethrow, scoring 28 points. Almost all the 3 ptrs were clean through the net. Maybe a 1 or 2 hit part of the iron.
Mandy Morales also had a good, as she seems to always have. She scored 15 points on 5 - 10 from the field, 1 3 ptr, and 4 of 6 from the freethrow line.
Jody Mcleod came back from the dead also. After getting only 3 rebounds against NAU, she pulled down 11 rebounds today, plus scoring 4 points.
Tamara Guardipee hit everything she threw up. 4 shots, 4 makes, 1 of them a 3 ptr, scored 9 points.
Team wise, Lady Griz had their best shooting game of the year, hitting 48.3% from the field. Lady Griz outrebounded the Hornettes 47 - 27.
Hornettes shot only 31.1% from the field.
Lady Griz on the road next week again. PSU and EWU road swing.
