This is always one of the downsides of being a Griz fan: The absolute air-tight secrecy around injuries. I mean, these are sports injuries--twisted ankles, should separations, torn ACL's--not the type of injuries to deny you coverage on a life insurance policy. Except for coaches trying to spring a surprise on an opponent, I don't get it.

Interestingly enough…it’s not exactly correct. Basically, by being an athlete, to some extent, you are allowed to share. Buuuut…players don’t have to agree to it, and coaches, docs, trainers etc, don’t HAVE to share.

The right to privacy guaranteed by the Montana Constitution includes medical condition and related information. I don’t think the public right to know would outweigh a player’s reasonable expectation that it should not be disclosed.
